The only thing for certain is that if it's a boy, he will have my maiden name as his middle name (as does DS).

And, I'd like to pick a girls name that ends in "a"....

Good thing we have 9 months still ahead of us!

Mom to:
DD (1/03) , DS (9/05) , DD (10/09)

I'm loving all of the choices so far! You Mamas are a good source of inspiration. I'm glad I'm not the only one that's already thinking of names, too!

DS is Calloway Baird. 'Baird' was MIL's maiden name, now her middle name (she dropped her original middle when she married). DH's middle name is also Baird, as is one of his cousin's. DH was VERY close to his grandfather on that side of the family + tradition, it was an easy decision to make. I decided to day before our gender ultrasound that I loved Call(a)(o)way, whether a boy or a girl. It stuck, then it turned out to be one of DH's great-great-great grandfather's name or something.

This time around, if it's a girl, I'm liking Annabelle Gray (Gray was MIL's original middle name, Annabelle was one of DH's grandmothers). Belle was also my mother's grandma's name. MIL's name is Genevieve and I LOVE it, but it's becoming super popular.

K: Wife to C, Momma to C (2/20/08) & A (11/7/09)!

We sort of have names picked out but we're being secretive about it.

Is that weird??

Anyway, SO many lovely names being listed!

Kalila is on our long list. And I LOVE Piper but DF doesn't.

I LOVE the name Annabelle! It is on my list of potential girl names. I started to like it after Isabella became super popular (Isabella used to be my number one girl's name).

Loved reading everyone's posts. I'm really not drawn to anything yet. Maybe it is just too early for me?

Yes! It’s so cool! It’s funny how there’s a small population of 30ish Rhiannons running around in the world/US. It seems odd how it’s becoming kind of popular these days!

For what it’s worth, Violet is pretty in style right now—I don’t associate it with the Afflecks at all, just the late-00s. With the legacy of a 102 year old grandmother behind it, I’d say it’s a great choice!

Tuffykenwell/Steph, if you’re still around: I like your naming style, and I really like Isla in particular. I was wondering if you have trouble with the pronunciation, having to correct people all the time? Is it a pain, or not a big deal?

What's weirder is that I'm 31, Rhiann, and NOT named for Fleetwood Mac!

My parents actually picked my name from the credits of a Monty Python movie.

This is what happened to me. I had all these boy names picked out for my DS, but then when he was born NONE of them fit him. At all. So those went out the window and we luckily came up with a name on the spot that we agreed on

The funny thing is that my DH was insistent on not bothering with names until he saw the baby, and he was right. So this time around I am playing with names in my head but I know not to bother getting attached to one or to discuss them with DH. Will just have to wait!

I love some of the names you ladies have chosen.

We are liking Drew Reese for a girl and Glenn Michael (named after our fathers) for a boy.

The girls name may change, because we already have 4 girls and I am sick of choosing girls names...But the boy name is pretty much set in stone.
