If you had this blood work done, what were your levels?

At 4 weeks, 2 days days past AF (don't know when I ovulated) my hcg was 4654 and my progesterone was 30.

With my first, we did two series of tests. The first was done at 3 weeks , 2days and the hcg was 58 and the progesterone was 24.8. The second was done at 3 weeks, 4 days and the hcg had gone up to 284.

I am not doing a second series this time around. The midwife doesn't think it's necessary with my numbers.

Just wondering where your numbers sit.

my quantitative hcg was 1024 at 4 weeks 6 days, progesterone was 19.5.
they didn't seem too happy with that but they don't want to do anything until u/s at 6.5 weeks. Because they just want to drive me nuts
I'd be really happy with your #'s!!

I have a history of low progesterone and have been on natural progesterone for months, so they're paying extra attention to mine during this pregnancy. My progesterone dropped from something like 36 last week to 22 this week, and my naturopath wasn't happy with that. They bumped up my dosage right away and then ordered me some suppositories in case I see any spotting.

I don't know think it was the overall level though, but rather the drop that worried them.

HCG only:
22 DPO - 16,030
26 DPO- 33,888

They're definitely on the the high end of normal! And there was only one little bean in there...probably another girl since girl babies tend to show higher hCG levels.

I wish I knew what mine were w/ DD! I'm sure they were astronomically high because I was soo sick w/ her. I would love another girl...daughters are so special (but I know sons must be too, but in a different way). Would you like to have another boy?

I'm dying to have a daughter. If it's not this baby, though, we'll try for the next one! I cried last time when I found out I was having a boy...but I'll be ok either way this time. This baby is due two weeks before DS turns two, so all DS's hand-me-down clothes would always fit this baby seasonally, which would be convenient and cost-effective. Plus the two boys would be closer friends being close in age. But I am: for at least one girl someday. I don't think my family would feel complete without her.

I haven't had my hcg's done. I did it last year when I was having a blighted ovum, and all it did was cause me stress, and didn't change the outcome. So, I'm opting to not do it this time.

But, my progesterone was checked 2 weeks ago and it was 39.3!! I was ecstatic about that.

Not sure when I ovulated since DH and I haven't been trying in over a year. Our last whoo rah romp for my b-day 2/15 must have done it. lol So conception sometime around there I am thinking. On 3/16 my Hcg was 3,705 and Progesterone was 7.2. Doc was worried about low progresterone (I have a history of 1st trimester miscarriages) so he put me on 200mg Prometrium BID. Test on 3/18 showed Hcg was 7,613. He is happy with these numbers and have my first ultrasound scheduled for 3/30. Nervous, excited, worried, content, happy, elated and every other emotion known to mankind!

Funny you should ask! I just got mine done yesterday and posted results in the no-stressor zone! (Cuz I was stressing up til now and that's why I had it done.)

I was 26 DPO or 5w5d and the results were:

Beta HcG - 17,775
Serum Progesterone - 23.4

I am SO relieved! RN even said there's no need to repeat Beta tomorrow given how high it is.

The RN did say that they routinely do first sono at 9-10 weeks so they have a good chance at seeing the sac and the heartbeat at the same time. I said I'd call back for an appointment... Still have to decide if I want to go for that sono and then tell them I'm switching to MW, or skip it and just go straight to midwife in 3 weeks. Hmm.

I definitely am not further along... my chart is very clear about O date (and I have 2 years experience interpreting my charts anyway).

As for the possibility of twins... EEK! I don't know if I could handle twins!! My friend had twins her first pregnancy and after hearing about her exhaustion and stress, I'd definitely rather have my kids one by one! Although I trust God knows what he's doing and will accept whomever comes my way!! I only have one set of twins on my side, my mom's siblings, and DH has none. So I'm thinking our chances aren't too high. :

But I guess we'll find out soon enough! Either I'll get the 9 week sono or I'll go to the 9 week MW appt and hope to hear a (one!) baby heartbeat... if that appt doesn't clear it up, guess we'll be waiting longer to know!

Probably only one (although I understand your alarm!). At 26 DPO mine was 33,888 and it's only one.

At what we think is 5 weeks, HCG was 6, 350.

The next day, we saw a yolk sac and a gestational sac.

Prog. wasn't checked.
