I was craving soda 2 weeks ago and now the thought of it turns my stomach. Right now my major aversions are sweet tea, soda, and fast food. Ugh, ugh, ugh!

I'll eat something one minute and 5 minutes later the same thing will make me want to puke.

I can drink water if it has a little lemon in it and I can keep milk down. I am already SICK of being SICK!

Avocado I have six ripe avocados right now and cannot eat them. That is my biggest aversion right now... oh, and meat/cheese substitutes - I don't like them normally but I'm veg so I read a lot of veg blogs and if I see one more thing about cashew "cheese" or tofu scramble or... ewww... gag... I'll stop myself there.

Dawn, mama to D (3.06) & N (9.07) C (11.09) & Still-in-shock surprise due in Aug!

I am so loving that I have women to go through this with.

When I went grocery shopping Saturday night I thought I wasn't going to make it out of the store alive. Smells are KILLING me. And not just food smells, but cleaning products, perfume, soap...pretty much everything. The good part is I usually only vomit when I eat. I kind of feel like I'm permanently hungover the rest of the time.

I'm 7w2d (I'm pretty sure; doctor next Wednesday); if this doesn't stop by May I'm going to just sob uncontrollably...

Unfortunately my true love - Ranch dressing - turns me green I was also CRAVING pancakes so this morning I finally made them and had a few bites and was done! They did not taste good AT ALL! I was craving soda but the Sprite tasted very funny to me. Luckily I love water and that goes down A-OK. So far that is about it so I guess I shouldn't complain (at least about the food aversions... now, let's talk about this darn bloating, gas and cha cha) :

I can't stand melted cheese, goat cheese, any kind of fried or baked food or fried oil. I also don't like pasta too much or carbs.

I am good with lettuce, miso soup, meats and banana milk shakes. Those are my main foods since about 10 days At least it is healthy.

Mom since Oct'09. Wife to a loving husband. Expecting a little bean in May'12

I haven't been too bad about this, really. I generally already have smell aversions because of migraines, so we have a pretty low smell household. I can't stand fakey smells especially, like your "air fresheners" or Febreeze and the like. I'd rather it smell bad than like that.

But I bought some pork ribs last week to cook in the crockpot, and the thought of simmering food all day is putting me off, so I might have to freeze these before they go bad and make them sometime later. Of course, that was dinner tonight, so now I have to go get something else. Lol.

I was very disappointed to learn on Monday that I have a new aversion to cheeseburgers. I went to McD's thinking that since I'm nauseous, my old faithful go-to hangover meal should help. Not so much. My beloved cheeseburger let me down for the first time ever.

Pretty well everything puts me off, especially things that I have cooked for some reason. It doesn't help that I have been very sick with a sinus infection for 2 weeks now. I have been able to eat cucumbers with ranch dip and cashews. Aside from the occasional craving for something bad like poutine or a deep fried battered chicken sandwhich with mayo:

It really changes daily....or hourly.....but the worst right now is anything carbonated. The thought of a bubbly sprite is enough to make me gag.
Also any strong smells, and for some reason I can't smell food after I have eaten it or I am so sick. So I can't even begin to do the dishes. For this reason I have not cooked in a few days because DH can't be home to do the dishes and I don't know what to do with all of the dirty ones. I can't look at them or smell leftovers or anything!

I think I have an aversion to anything with nutrients in it. And strong smells! Especially fake smells. What I crave one day turns to an aversion the next day. So I think I'm running out of food to eat. Though I really enjoyed the cheesecake I ate last night. Is that a healthy lunch? :

Pretty much everything except junk food. I don't get why my body can tolerate junk food but cannot tolerate wonderful, organic dinners my husband is currently attempting to make while I'm stuck on the couch.

I remember having a horribly sensitive sense of smell when I was at this point in my pregnancy with dd. I remember feeling queasy a lot. I remember Bad Things Happening when I didn't eat something right when my body ordered me to. But I don't remember this awful aversion to food! Sometimes I would eat the wrong thing and not be able to keep it down, but I don't remember feeling sick at the mere sight, smell, or thought of any kind of food.

I have, however, evolved from saltine crackers, rice noodles and cherry 7-up to being able to tolerate foods that are solid, soft, and warm. This lets out meal replacement bars, nuts, and, alas, milkshakes; but it allows for most other things.

This is all new to me. I guess it's true that each pregnancy is different.

I can only eat things once. Then the mere thought of them makes me queasy. I thought I would be clever and make a bunch of burritoes for the week ( I was craving them the other day). So I made 4. I ate one and can't even LOOK at the rest of them in the fridge.

I ate a bagel and now I can't bear to look at them. I don't get it! There is nothing appealing to me. This better let up soon or there will be nothing left for me to eat!

It changes frequently for me but right now I can stomach spaghetti and Triscuits. Anything else makes me feel icky. Some fruits are ok but other than that it's a no go. Yesterday DH made tuna for himself and OMG that almost sent me over the edge. The sink full of dishes is nauseating so there's no dish washing done by me.

Oh, and my sense of smell has becomes so accute I have an aversion to some of my students. Poor personal hygiene was known but OMG I didn't realize they smelled THAT BAD!! I try to stay a good distance away.

It's been interesting trying to plan a menu for DD's birthday party...
