I didn't have this with my last pregnancy. If I do a movement that requires use of my upper abdominal muscles, I get this burning, painful sensation in the top center of my abdominal area, like right where my belly starts to swell out at the top. Today I got a pretty bad shot of it when I stupidly tried to do "boat" pose with the kids at my daughter's preschool. That pose is all ab work. Anyway, when I feel it, it feels like it's my skin that's being stretched too hard. Like when someone gives you an indian burn. But it's not my skin - there's no redness or anything. It's definitely under the skin.

Anyone else have this or something like it? Is it just the abdominal muscles separating? I mean, it's not my uterus, right? It's not bad enough or often enough to really worry about, but I'd feel better if I knew exactly what it was!
TIA.

I would probably chat with my caregiver - round ligament pain can feel like burning and searing but those are only on the bottom of your belly...

Best of luck!!

Okay, maybe it is the skin. Last night I rubbed almond oil into my skin where I feel the pain, and today it's totally gone. Hmmm....

maybe it's your ribs stretching open. I get a burning feeling along where my bra would sit, it feels like my bra is way too tight, even when I"m not wearing one.

Mine is just to the right of the center of my ribs. I think it is gallbladder personally.

I get it sometimes too, when I've been using my abs too much. I think it's my abs separating, too.
