at this point in time it's Amelia Jo. but that can change if she doesn't look like an Amelia. I have two other names picked out just in case. Charlotte Elizabeth and Lucy Jayne.

lol just don't tell dh that i have two other names picked out just in case. LOL i've already changed the name on him a million times. Our original one was Jocelynn Rose, we would call her Josie. (now that I say it again, i like it. LOL) there are just too many girl names that i like!

This is our first time not knowing the gender of the baby, and I didn't realize how hard it would make choosing names! We finally have both picked out, we'll just wait to make sure the name fits him/her. Our girl name is Maegan Elizabeth and our boy name is Maddox. We still can't come up with a boys middle name b/c our original middle name (Everett) just doesn't sound right to me with Maddox. So, if anyone has any suggestions for a middle name to go with Maddox I'm all ears!

Nope! I have absolutely no names picked out. Dh wants a list to choose from after she's here but I can't seem to even manage that! I have the opposite problem I guess, I don't like any girl names. Or else every one I like is the name of a cousin or friend

My guesstimated baby date is December 26, so I am starting to feel a little pressure.

We did get an u/s, and they told us likely a girl. If we have a boy I think naming will be much easier as I have lists and lists of boy names I like.

Orrin Azriel Noah

I like hearing other people's name choices. And this baby had better look like an Orrin Azriel Noah because we can't agree on ANYTHING.

Grace - wife to Jeff and mama to Nigella (11/08) and Orrin (01/10)- expecting a new addition (05/12)! Life is a whirlwind, but I'm learning to enjoy the ride!

We've been calling him Turducken, but I guess that Turducken would look bad on a birth certificate! So his name will be Alastair James.

how about Judah Macabee? You could call him the 'Hammer'. Or if you're into food - Sufganiyot - call him Jelly.

DH likes Nikolai and I like Sebastien. Ironically I suggested Nikolai because I've loved that name since I was 15 but it just doesn't sound right to me now.

I have a unisex name I like, but I'm not set on it...I keep flip flopping.

I have a feeling the baby will be unnamed for a couple days. Just as well we are having a home birth, so no pressure from nosey health professionals with their wristband policies and whatnot.

Nope, there are some ideas but need to get real serious about this. When we knew what the sex was last pg, it was decided early on. But picking out two definite names is very hard.

Super mom to a 5 1/2 year old girl, almost 4 yr old girl, and 2 year old boy.

We don't know if it is a girl or boy, but these are our choices:

Sietske Aloya (girl)
Theo William (boy)

My sister made me second guess my girl's name because our last name is a long foreign three-syllable one which starts with a Si, making her "Sietske Si____-____." But I think it's cute. Reassurances?

Of course, the same sister scuttled my previous name choice, which was "Aloya Elise." She said, immediately, in a Boston accent: "You're going to name your kid Aloya Elise? Aloya Elise you an apahtment, but he'll chahge you an ahm and a leg."

Sheesh, and I thought it was nice.

We don't have a name picked yet. We have three names we like and we're hoping she looks like one of them when she's born. None of them feel "right" to me though.

Julian Oliver Rilke
Or maybe
Oliver Rilke
Or maybe
Julian Oliver

and that's if we're having a boy... which we supposedly are... but sometimes I wonder...

So, if we're having a girl after all

Julcia Valentine
(first after my great grandma, middle after my mom)

(Girls names have always been easiest for me)

I never weighed in on your name thread, but I really love all three of those names. I'm partial to Oliver Rilke--because I love Mary Oliver, and then he'll be named after both the feminine and masculine side of the poetic genius!

Uh, I'm in such a panic! We're having another girl and dh and I cannot agree on even one name. There are so few names either of us like, let alone both of us. One of us is going to have to cave. For example, he loves Audrey, I love Camryn. See what I mean?? How could two names be more different??? This is our last child - we're not having any more. I think that makes it harder somehow.

AAAHHHHH!!!! We're going to have to see what she looks like when she emerges, I think.

Jen, mom of  two amazing girls, b. 2/16/06  and 1/29/10 hbac.gif

Well, when I found out I was pregnant, we all just "knew" it was a girl-so thats all we looked for was girl names. We finally settled on one, but then the day came to have an ultrasound done and while originally we were not going to find out the sex, we just couldnt help ourselves and when the ultrasound tech said "its a boy" our mouths dropped. I couldn't believe it. I just had it stuck in my head that I was having girl so for awhile after I found out I was having a boy, we still couldnt decide on a boy name, but one day it just came to us! I thought of the first name and my husband came up with the middle name and so our little one will be called "Rowan Briar". And I dont think we could have picked a more awesome name!!

Haven't decided yet either. Most likely Halim

My 3.5 yo has been calling baby Halim because we think it's a boy, but I am undecided on it. And when you say anything else he says " NO the baby's name is Halim" so it is kinda sticking. Which I knew would happen if we told him the names, because the same thing happened when my mom got a dog. She originally named it Pepper, but then changed it to Maggie Mae- my son said the same thing "No~ Pepper"

I like the name Aziz too

And if it's a girl- Naima, but that means tranquil, so even that would have to wait until we see how "tranquil" the babe is. Or maybe she would grow into her name...

If this babe comes out a girl we are gonna be in deep trouble, I am sure my son would be really confused then. But he may not put two and two together if we decide right away. Plus I would have to find all my dd's old clothes and wash em.

We have our choices limited down, but nothing in stone yet other than the middle name.

It will either be Elliott (my fav), Logan (DH fav), Alexander (DD fav she's 2), or Kian (possible front runner that we all like.) The middle name will be Wilson, which is a family name.

SAHM to DD (May/07) and DS (Jan/10)
