40 weeks today...and not hardly a twinge. i get little cramps every now and then, but they never progress into anything, haven't lost any more plug, no bloody show....gah!

time to start turning inward and seeing if there's some kind of mental block going on...

successful #2 Jan. 25th - welcome Maisie Elise!

I feel like we need a thread titled

"Who's still here and has absolutely nothing happening"

I feel great. Nothing coming out, no contractions, etc.

I don't want to go late and have to fight the VBAC-skittish caregivers.

I'm about to leave to go see my back-up midwife for a stretch and sweep. I'm 1 week overdue today by my ultrasound date. Both DH and I are well and truly ready to have this baby out! I hope it gets something going, but I guess we'll see. All the phone calls have started, and add to that my Mum just had to go back to hospital (and she's in Australia, I'm in Canada). I'm just stressed.

Went in today for a weekly appt. No change since I was there last time. I did have some more mucousy type discharge this morning. I'm 40w3d today. My very supportive OB is going out of town tomorrow thru Sunday. Neither of his partners are VBAC friendly. He told me one will not do a VBAC and the other one may possibly do it. So, as much as it pains me to think about being pregnant for another whole week, I'm kind of hoping he doesn't come until next Monday when my OB is back.

As far as the questions and calls, I'm going to go biserk. My husband is also really starting to grate my nerves - asking every single day how I feel and if I think today is the day. I do not want to take my dd to preschool tomorrow because I know her teacher & all the other moms are going to ask me when the baby is going to come out. Ughhhh. If I could just avoid people in general, this whole going "overdue" would be alot easier.

YES!!

Originally I just told everybody "end of January" when they asked and for months they were fine with it. Then I switched it to "middle of January" (no idea why) and since it's 1/18 and that's the middle I get asked allll the time when he's coming. Hell if I know! Then I was bitching to my old man about "I'm tired of people asking when he's coming and calling and emailing and blah blah blah all the time"...he told me that they're excited to meet our son and I'm being selfish. SELFISH?! Dude, that did NOT help!

This is what I've been saying all along!! I mean, we left the IL's house last night and MIL says "the phone is by my bed, don't forget to call me!" Hell-OO, you are watching the kids so, duh, I'm gonna call you! Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

meh I'm still here! I'll be 39w tomorrow. My son was born at 39w. But I think chances are very slim that the baby will be born tonight. DH thinks I'm going to go overdue, I just hope I don't go all the way into February, I just might have to kill someone.

Jumping into this due date club late..basically to complain along with y'all.

Pregnancy is super easy for me until the last few weeks - 37 is when I started wonder why I decided to do this again-this time. Kidding, sorta. I'm 40 weeks plus 1 day and wishing, willing, begging this little baby to come join the party.
I can't sleep, I can't sit, I can't walk, I can't lay down, I can't shave, I forcing myself to fake it around my two year old and engage him when I want to curl up in bed till I go into labor..I hate my Hypnobabies. Hate it. It's really starting to grate on my nerves. If Dh is still married to me after this pregnancy - bless him. I'm SO sick of just doing anything, I dont' want to leave the house, I'm totally out of clothes to wear. So Zen? yeah, no. Not at all.

My midwife's other client's water broke

That means good news for me...as long as I don't go into labor tonight

We got half of my huge list of to do's done & will attempt the other half tomorrow...as I turn 39 weeks!! I'm so happy!!! My goal is to get as close to my due date as possible.

40+2 today. yesterday dp felt crappy, had lower back pain, pelvic pressure (lots of it) and small contractions that were somewhat regular. today she still feels crappy and has some pressure and some random contractions. it looks like babe dropped a little more. she is working from home now.

even with all that, i don't think we are any closer to our wee man arriving!

I'm still here too...had a checkup today with u/s (I am measuring at 41 cm fundal height, so they wanted to check fluid levels). It was cool to see her, but now they are estimating her at close to 8 lb...1.5 lb more than my last two! Here she is if you want to take a peek:

No cervical check (fine by me!), and bp, urine, etc. looks good so I go back in a week unless I get lucky and she decides to come sooner. 11 days till the due date!

Have any of you felt like the new year isn't starting for you until your LO has arrived? Like all of my goals/resolutions are on hold until the baby is born and then I feel like it will be a new year/new start. Just curious if any other January mamas have that feeling?

I just feel like life is on hold completely at the moment... my SPD is making being a parent really hard, it is icy out and walking is painful so we haven't been out much in the last few weeks and the kids are going a bit stir-crazy,
So it just feels like life is in limbo right now...

We are just waiting for the baby to be born, waiting for DH to be on Paternity leave and yes, waiting for life to start up again...

and feel like a tight band all the way around my abdomen and back. An hour here and there several times a day a few minutes apart. I am 39 +3 and this did not happen at all until almost two weeks after my EDD with my son. Here's to babies not waiting until 42 +3 because midwives won't deliver at home or birth center then!!

And Jepardy music is still playing for me.
