I thought this would be a fun way to document our symptoms and how we are feeling during our first trimester! I always enjoy going back and reading my posts from my youngest's DDC to remember what I was going through! I figure we can come here and complain about our symptoms and ask questions and commiserate with each other about how we're feeling!

(I plan to make one for each trimester as we get there!!)

So here's my list of symptoms so far:
-Itching EVERYWHERE! The worst place is right between my fingers :

-DH breathing on my face makes me nauseas! Not the smell just the act of him breathing in my face...weird!

-Gassy like a mad cow!! OMG! We have a pretty high tolerance for gas in my house, but this is horrid! Even scares the dog and cats away.

-Heartburn: I used to suffer from it bad when I was in High School and then after I had my first it went away. Then when I got pregnant with my youngest I dealt with it all through pregnancy, but again as soon as he was born it went away. I should have known when I got heart burn a few nights before I tested that something was up.

-Hot/Cold sweats...One minute I'm huddled under the blankets the next I feel like a human furnace.

-Increased smelling capabilities. I can smell the Dog sweat when my dog comes inside from playing outside. I can smell a poopy diaper 4 doors down (used to only be able to smell 2 doors down )

-Exhausted all the time which I was blaming my medicine for, but even with it gone I'm still exhausted. I just took a 2 hr. nap at 7 pm and feel like I could sleep til noon tomorrow.

OMG, the heartburn. I get it most evenings. When I get it, it is bad. It causes the only real nausea that I feel.

My breasts are tender, but not totally sore and painful like most people describe them to be.

I'm tired. This weekend, Garrin was gone from about 8am Saturday to Noon on Sunday. You know what I did? I laid on the couch. I went to dinner with mom and dad, then came home and laid on the couch. That's it. I feel so lazy and lethargic, and it drives me nuts. I am going to try to start exercising in the mornings with the hope that it will give em a little Umph.

Oh, and the cravings. I'm not so much craving certain foods, but if I eat somethign salty, I need to have something sweet and vice versa. Dinner last night was chicken wings followed by chocolate ice cream (and Sour Cream and Onion potato chips. Yes, at the same time.). I'm going to try and channel these cravings into more healthy options - I really want to gain as little weight as possible and stay healthy this time around.

I'm only 12 dpo, but finally have a symptom - waking up in the middle of the night with uterine pinching and sweating! I was SO HOT! I feel really hot off and on - don't remember hot flashes in my last pregnancy.

I forgot the Hot/Cold flashes!! They've been horrid! One minute I've got the A/C down to 70 and the next I'm bumping it back up and bundled under a bunch of blankets. I'd rather be cold then hot though!

So I don't know if this is pregnancy related or not but the skin on my legs hurts almost everywhere like I have bruises all over but there is nothing there. I have not idea what this as all about. Its like my veins are sore. I am trying to drink more water thinking maybe it is water retention.

Other Symptoms:
*Nighttime sickness as opposed to morning sickness-just nausea though
*Really tired all the time
*Still feel crampy

Let's see...
  • Gassy; whoo boy, it's rank.
  • Wicked tired. Could be due to a short night of sleep, but...
  • Thirsty - really really thirsty. Which leads to lots of peeing.
  • Weird appetite. Starving early in the day, kind of ehhh about food later...but if you put it in front of me, I'm voracious. Oh, and had a serious salt craving today (potato chips and ramen - only ate the ramen - which were from the health food store, so not *too* bad!)
  • Seriously bloated/poochy belly. That was one of the things that led me to test today - I just *looked* pregnant. And I don't want anything constricting my pooch. It needs to be free! I don't usually get bloated for AF.
  • Sore boobs. I do get those for AF, but they feel heavier than usual. Even DH agrees.

I think that's it so far!

Hmmm...Here's what I've got going on.
*Sore boobs
*Heartburn - ohhhh, the heartburn
*Hot Flashes. I go from fine to BURNING in a matter of seconds
*Tired. Really dad gum tired. I just want to sit or lay down all of the time!
*Gassy. Yikes.

It's fun to compare!

Katie - lovin' on DH, DD (2/10), DS (3/11), and just got one of these pos.gif  !!!

What a fantastic idea!!! Now we can all see that what we're feeling really is normal and ok!!! Awesome, awesome idea!

Symptoms:
Heartburn like crazy!
Nausea alllll day long.... didn't have it the first time, this stinks!
Just started today with the crampy, twinge like feelings in my uterus
Also, just started spotting brown mucus
Hot and cold flashes too! I forgot that's part of this!!

I wish I could say something funny about having gas, but it's not the case yet!!

Symptoms so far are racing heartbeat(I remember this from my other pregnancies), hot periods, and fatigue.

I have had severe morning sickness w/all my other pregnancies, but it usually doesn't start right away. Hoping maybe I can avoid it this time around!

I've been nesting!! I had a ton of energy all weekend, and got tons of cleaning, gardening/weeding and organinzing for my upcoming garage sale done.

I've had some abdomenal stretching and tightening, and today I'm feeling a little run-down. But otherwise, I'm feeling great, and still can't believe I'm actually pregnant. I kinda expect (and hope a little) that I'll be crashed out on the couch any day now

Everybody is different I have a 3 yo and a 15 mo running around as well as three kittens and a 3 yo Lab/Husky who thinks she's a lap dog. I'd only be slightly less tired if I wasn't pregnant LOL

I am have been fairly lucky...I think most of my symptoms come from the prometrium!

--Achy, achy boobies, but seems to be letting up
--Vaguely nauseous all day, but controllable
--Wicked heartburn, but I have to be getting more calcium from all the tums!
--Weird twingey cramps. Nothing to painful, just enough to feel them

After waiting for so long, I bizarrely almost want more symptoms!!!

Well the nausea and yucky feeling has officially started. I was making stuffed burgers for lunch and I almost got sick. I know I'll be fine to eat them once they are cooked, but the raw stuff just :Puke

I chopped up some scallions from our garden to put in there and the smell burned my eyes and gave me a headache.

It's a good thing that we only know each other virtually...could you imagine a room full of gassy, bloated women? Then then chain reaction as the gas triggers the nausea...vomit everywhere...the picture is really quite scary...
