I didn't save mine with my first two kiddos, but have saved every BFP since... even the miscarriages. They get kind of yellowed and old looking but I can still see the lines. I didn't do anything special to preserve it so I wonder if it depends on what brand of test you have?

It can totally depend on the test. I have saved all mine. They yellow over time and sometimes the lines lighten. It's from the same effect of why not to read a pregnancy test after 10 minutes.

I have the Answer test that I gave DH still - it has yellowed and lightened but you can still see two lines just fine.

I didn't save the actual tests but I did take pics of the +'s and have to admit I still look at them from time to time.

Since I really kept wanting to take my temp in the am like I did for charting, I put my test on my bed side table. It is still super dark as are the other two I took I used the early detection ones and tested at 12 DPO.

I kept Fiona's (that still is bright) and eventually threw out Orion's because it just blanked out after awhile. This pregnancy the test is pretty much unreadable already too. It was an EPT, so perhaps the brands have something to do with it.

I kept my DS's for a while (in a drawer in the bathroom!) but couldn't justify it when we moved cross country - I'm so NOT a scrapbooker, and I didn't want to find a place to keep it.

This time, I used a digital because I was so tired of trying to interpret lines, and the display only lasts 24 hours, so it seemed kind of pointless.

I didn't save the others, but this one I gave to DH as a father's day present, so I think he's saving it. I still have the one from the MC I had last fall. I have a friend who saves hers and I think that's so sweet. My old ones yellowed but haven't faded.

I didn't with my other two pregnancies, but have kept the two from this one so far. I really should take a picture so I can throw them away...

I've saved all of mine. Well, one from each kid and miscarriage...I threw away the and the duplicates!

That really does sorta make me disgusting, doesn't it? I mean, it's not like the kids are gonna want them when they are older..."hey mom! You know that old pee stick you have in your cupboard? The one with my initials written in Sharpie? Can I puhLEEEEEEEZE have it? I wanna show my friends!"

Yeah, not likely. Sigh....

So now, if I'm convincing myself to get rid of them, what to do? Oooooh, maybe I should put them in with all the placentas that are in my freezer! :

Man, am I a case study, or what?

I have this one sitting out in my bathroom, which some people might think of as a little weird. I will probably throw it out eventually, though. I don't keep a lot because I am so disorganized it is hard for me to keep track of everything! I'm pretty sure I got rid of Nora's positive test (from 2005) at some point. If it's around I have no idea where it is!!

Ummm...do I want to know why you have placentas in the freezer? Don't most people plant a tree with them or something?

I have all the BFP's I have ever had. I keep them in a Ziploc in my nightstand drawer. I even have one from my first making it an almost 9 year old BFP. I have noticed the ones with the two lines seem to preserve better than the plus minus ones. The ones from this pregnancy are on my kitchen counter (with the caps on them of course.) I guess that makes me super gross.

Um....well....because we were in a rental property, and then we were moving, and then we were trying to figure out how to landscape things, but before we got finished we were moving again...

But, hey, I thought EVERYONE on MDC had a placenta or two tossed in the freezer?? : No? okay then... :

pssssst, TexasMum! I don't think you are gross at all!

Well, I'm one of the less-crunchy mommies here, no placentas in my freezer, LOL. We donated our cord blood, so last I saw of the placenta was it being carted off in the metal pan by the nurse...

lol! We had our first son's placenta in the freezer for almost 4 years, then my second son came along and they were just taking up too much space! So, we did end up finally planting them...one under a pear tree and the other under a blueberry bush that was my grandfather's, but is now in our yard. I am going to hate leaving it all behind when we eventually outgrow this house.
