Since we're all gonna be preggers during Christmas this year, what do you have on your wish list? Anything specific for your pregnancy or post partum?
I'm asking for a gift card to a local maternity store to buy nursing pj's, tanks, and tops, a backpack diaper bag (thought it would be much easier with two kiddos), a new purse, and a gift card to a local shoe store to buy comfy shoes.

What do you all have on your list for this year?

One happy mama to 1/06 , 3/10 , and married to my best friend

I mostly want cloth diapers or other stuff for the baby. And I'd really like one of those flip cameras so I can take easy videos of our little guy.

Kristen married to DH Brad, mama to Isaiah Abraham (born on Valentine's Day 2010) and expecting a new little one in February 2012!

I really want a serger but I'm sure that any bit of Christmas money or gift cards I get will be spent on my kids.

I don't actually celebrate Christmas- but- the thing I want right now- so indulgent- is the silver Cross Classic Sleepover Pram.

I don't think we'll be doing much for us this Christmas - a few things for the kids but probably not for DH and I. With having to buy a new car money is going to be pretty tight. I never know what to ask for anyways.

I was going to ask for a Gypsy Mama Bali Breeze carrier (http://www.milkface.com/detail.aspx?ID=47947 ) but a friend is giving me a great deal on a Moby Wrap so I need to reassess whether I really need TWO wrap carriers!

We have enough of everything, I think. I am going to buy myself a post-partum kit, but I won't be asking for it for Christmas!

I know what you mean. We just moved in to a new house about a month ago, so that's basically H and I's present to each other. We put forth all of our effort and whatever money we have towards our DS and family members.

A new house?

That's on my wishlist every year. I tell myself that if it stays on there, maybe someday it will come true.

A new dishwasher. Motor just went out in ours....gonna cost nearly as much to fix it as to replace it with a new, more energy/water efficient one.

But can't afford to do either right now, so maybe (fingers crossed!) we can do that for our anniversary gift to each other! Woo-hoo.....so romantic!

We don't exactly celebrate Christmas, but dd2's birthday is Dec. 20th, and our anniversary is Dec. 19th. And we usually do a tiny bit of gift exchange with my parents/siblings and with his parents/grandparents/sister, because they would be offended if we didn't participate.

I just moved into a new to me (1910) house - there are a lot of things on my wishlist!!! I am so occupied trying to organize the boxes and unpacking, well, I can't quite think past that and what I might like for end of pregnancy, post.

There are some beautiful curtains I would like for the "nursery" / guest room and some carpets from Anthropologie.

  • Oh yes! I agree with $$ for our doula
  • A new vacuum
  • And the biggest-NO BABY. I know, I know...but I am fearing a premature birth again, and if it is like last time, I could deliver right on x-mas day
  • Finally, to see SOME family. Being on modified bedrest and having no family in the southeast will make for an intimate, but lonely first holiday without extended family

I want a long, fuzzy bathrobe to wear after baby comes I need so much for the baby though that I'd really rather have people give me $$ or baby stuff that I need. So, the bathrobe is the only thing I'm hoping to get for myself...we'll see where money is though after we've had to buy all the big things (pack n play, pump, etc).

Mama to Jack (2/14/10) and Madi (2/14/12) luxlove.gif my Valentine's babies!

I feel like such a baby...money never comes between me and Christmas gifts because my Christmas gifts still come from my parents and in-laws.

I'm getting new bedding and curtains for the master bedroom (DH and are going to start using individual twin-sized duvets so we don't worry about covering the little guy in between us), and a big stack of books to read while I'm nursing.

For Yule, I just want a nice sling and some nursing bras. I can't actually think of anything *for me* and me alone that I want. But, I'm always like that around holidays. DH and I would like a video camera to film the birth.

I thought that I was still reading the knitting thread, and I was trying really hard to picture what on earth a knit nursing tank would look like.

Me too! A new house.

But on a more realistic note, a new Medela nursing bra. I'll probably ask for a non-baby gift too like a pedicure.
