Yay! I'm happy to see this update too today. My heart sank yesterday when i read your original post and I've been sending positive thoughts since. And, I'm glad that you have your due date confirmed. Just goes to show, follow your intuition and hold it the closest. It'll keep you sane and strong.

Great news, I'm so happy for you!

And for me, this story of yours gives me reassurance to not have the doppler looking for a heartbeat when I have my first m/w appointment in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Thanks

As far as the placenta, I specifically asked her and she said it wasnt, so I dont know. This place does nothing but ultrasounds/xrays/MRI's and the tech does nothing but ultrasounds on pregnant ladies all day, lol. It'd be funny if the report says differently though...maybe she was just tired, it was 7 afterall!

Just thinking about it...I kinda hope she was right when she said it wasnt anterior. Cant that be bad with a cesarean scar? (Like...more chance for it to get imbeded in the scar?)

Yeah... it's called placenta accreta, I think. It's pretty rare, though, even with the number of cesarean births out there. http://www.epigee.org/pregnancy/placental.html
Quote:
This is a rare disorder, occurring in only 1 in 5000 pregnancies
Considering about 1/3 of women have had a cesarean (or something? maybe the number is higher) it's still pretty low odds... not that that necessarily helps you feel better. I think it's even more common with higher number of cesarean scars, too. Like if you've had 5 cesareans, you're more prone than if you've had 1?
