Time of Day: early afternoon

Fun! I'd like to join this...

Other details: Despite weeks of heartburn (and the wives tale that it means hairy head), the baby will be bald.

Baby's gender: Boy (that's what US said)

Weight (lbs/oz): 7lbs, 3oz

Length (in): 20 in

Baby Birthdate and your EDD: I am hoping I make it 38 weeks at least. I had DS1 13 days early and I am having lots of BH and lower back pain already with this one and I am only 31 wks. I am going to say March 28th. EDD is March 31

Time of day: Morning. 9 ish. Really hoping DS will be there so 9 seems like a good time.

Length of labor: About 8 hours, active labor. Was gearing up for 3 days with DS1. Fun

Place of Birth: Birth Center! and hopefully not the car since we live 40 minutes away from the birth center

Other details: Please god, don't let me get stuck at 9cm for two hours like last time.

DS1 06/27/2007, DS2 03/19/2010 :::

Baby's gender: I'm thinking boy- kids will tell us
Weight (lbs/oz): 8 lbs, 1 oz.
Length (in): 21 inches
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: February 28; due March 3-5
Time of day: Evening
Length of labor: 6-10 hours (I hope!)
Place of Birth: Home, in the birth tub
Other details: Everyone touching baby's head at crowning, baby being born into mine and dh's hands; kids announcing gender; I want to walk along the bayou during labor; making good eye contact with everyone there to really soak in the birth. My last labor was so fast I didn't really "take it all in" and was shocked for some time after. I want this one to be just a little slower.

Cool!

Baby's gender: we know it's a boy
Weight (lbs/oz): 9lbs at least.
Length (in): 22
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: 1 week early
Time of day: evening - maybe weekend.
Length of labor: 6 hours (last was 18 - but I had a "lip" for 12 of them.)
Place of Birth: MO BAP
Other details: My mom either doesn't make it or barely makes it out here in time. DD (age 7) cuts the cord and is totally present and helpful the whole time. Not overwhelmed, not needing a break.

WOW! Baby was 8-days early. Labor was 5.5 hours long and mom did not make it to the birth. Birth weight is unknown - but 12 hour weight was 7 lbs 9 oz. 21 inches. Sunday birth - 11:29. DD was GREAT! Cut the cord and was there for everything. Just the weight was wrong. And if I thought about it, I might have answered differently. DD was 8 lbs 9 oz and 8 days "late."

Third generation WOHM. I work by choice.

Baby's gender: Boy, for sure.
Weight (lbs/oz): 9 lbs 5 oz
Length (in): 23 inches
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: Birth date: Feb 17th, EDD is March 10. I just think he's coming early.
Time of day: Afternoon. It's sunny out.
Length of labor: 6 hours.
Place of Birth: Hospital, with me 'standing up' bent over the bed, holding my husbands hands. I see that one pretty clearly.
Other details: Please don't let me get induced at 38 wks like my doctor wants. Please don't let me have another abruption that leads to emergency c-section.
Also, clearly I was wrong here so I want to amend. New prediction:

Baby's gender: Boy, for sure.
Weight (lbs/oz): 9 lbs 3 oz
Length (in): 22 inches
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: Birth date: Feb 28th, EDD is March 10. I still think he's coming early(ish).
Time of day: Evening or night.
Length of labor: 6 hours.
Place of Birth: Hospital, in the birth tub.
Other details: Please don't let me have another abruption that leads to emergency c-section.

Weight 6pnds 14ounces
Length 20 inches
Birthdate and your EDD February 21st (March 7th)
Time of day Morning
Length of labor 10 hours
Place of Birth Hospital w/my 3 sisters, my mom and my midwife
Other details Hopefully it goes pretty much the same way my first birth went. No real pain and pushing for 13 minutes! YAY!

Just wanted to update my prediction...

I ended up having a girl, Elinor Michelle. She was born on FEB. 10th at 11:43pm. She weighed 6pnds,1/2 an oz. She was 20in long. (got that right!) I was in labor for about 6 hours. I ended up having two of my sisters, my mom, my DH and ,my MIL (although I didn't really want her there!) at the birth. Everything did actually go pretty much like the birth of my son. Barely any pain, just the last 3 contractions and I did only push for 13 minutes. I guess I didn't do too well with predicting but, my twin sister did pick the date she was actually born and she made it just in time for that day! YAY!

Michelle and Bill w/: Newton, our yorkie + 11yo DS, Mark, and on 2/10/10 ...Elinor!

Baby Birthdate and your EDD: I think she'll arrive 2/21, but 3/3 is also resonating with me. EDD is 3/9.
Time of day: Mid to late morning!
Length of labor: 4-5 hours
Place of Birth: Our home!
Other details: dd1 will be very difficult to remove from the birth pool!
The real story:
Gender: female
Weight: 10 lbs 6.5 oz (!!!)
Length: 20.75"
Birthdate: 2/25/2010
Time of day: Morning (5:47 am)
Length of labor: On and off for 5 days (not painful, like strong BH), ended up "augmenting" with Pitocin after sudden onset of pre-eclampsia, so from start of Pitocin to delivery was 4.75 hours.
Place of birth: Hospital
Other details: No tearing at all, nearly painless labor (until water broke 1 hour before delivery!) despite Pitocin, feeling awesome even though we didn't get our homebirth!

Rachel, mama to Lucy, born 9.9.07, and Caroline, born 2.25.10!

so far, I'm going with a girl
Weight (lbs/oz): [strike[9lbs 8oz
Length (in): 20in
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: March 24 (Mar17 EDD)
Time of day: 4amish
Length of labor: 5 hours
Place of Birth: home, bedroom, in the tub this time
Other details: nothing too exciting this time, just a nice relaxing (ha!) birth. but if it is 5 hours, not sure my doula will make it since she's coming from about 1.5 hours away.
ACTUAL

Baby's gender: so far, I'm going with a girl
Weight (lbs/oz): 10lbs, 9oz
Length (in): 22.25in
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: March 16 (Mar17 EDD)
Time of day: 11am
Length of labor: 7 hours
Place of Birth: home, bedroom, in the tub this time
Other details: nothing too exciting this time, just a nice relaxing (ha!) birth. --- actually, having an awesome hypnobirth was exciting, but it was very, very chill during the whole thing.

I got the gender right -- the size was wishful thing, this babe is a half pound heavier than her sister and crazy long. I'm surprised that I went at 39w6d -- that wasn't really expected at all. Birth was awesome!!

Baby Birthdate and your EDD: 3/16-17 edd 3-12
Time of day: 3:30
Length of labor: 4.5 hours
Place of Birth: Home
Other details: I had a vision of my birth yesterday, kneeling on my bed catching the baby. It would be lovely. Just hoping for a "calm" birth.

And my prediction for now

Baby's gender: Boy
Weight (lbs/oz): 9lbs 3 oz
Length (in): 21
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: Birthday: 3/18 Edd: 3/12-3/15
Time of day: 5:45am
Length of labor: 6 hours
Place of Birth: Bedroom
Other details: I'm quite hopeful for a water birth, and having DH catch the baby after I birth baby's head into my hands to hopefully prevent tearing.

So I made 2 predictions and between them I got some thinsg right some wrong. I love that the birth became quite close to my desires at the end of the pregnancy. So Actual:

Baby's gender: Boy
Weight (lbs/oz): 7lb 15oz
Length (in): 20.5 got that one right, apparently my babies come in one length my 3rd 20.5 inch long kiddo!
Baby Birthdate and your EDD: Birthday: 3/13 Edd: 3/12-3/15
Time of day: 11:08pm I can't believe I labored before bedtime!
Length of labor: 4 hours so my first guess was really close
Place of Birth: Bedroom, in the birth tub!
Other details: A calm, accidently unassisted birth, in the water, into my hands like I wanted. Glorious.

BD / EDD : March 4th (I'm hoping that's all the later this babe is), my official EDD is Feb. 27th
Time of day: 2:14 p.m.
Length of labor: honestly, it better be four hours (we have to drive at least 2.5 hours!)
Place of birth: The house my midwife practices out of in MT
here's how it really went

Gender: GIRL!
Weight: 8lb 11oz
Length: at birth they measured her 21.5 inches, but at onew week measured 22.25 inches... so... somewhere around those
BD/EDD: Born March 6th! (EDD still of Feb 27)
Time of day: 4:11 p.m.
Length of Labor: I don't know what to go by.... we drove up to MT, leaving WY at 6:35pm March 5th... hard contractions began at 7 am March 6th
Place of birth: The house my midwife practices out of in MT!

I was actually pretty close in my predictions!
