(Or other people we know for that matter!)

The name all my kids seem to be sticking with and making me nuts about is Pickles.

How about yours?

Ds has decided if this one's a boy we should name him Bob. If it's a girl, Saba. This guarantees him a built-in, properly-named playmate to play "Nigel" with him. (Ds often pretends to be Nigel Marven and anyone who plays with him has to be other people from the Prehistoric Park show such as aforementioned Bob and Saba.)

Dd agrees with Bob for a boy but thinks a girl should be named Sandrea (sahn-dray-uh with a dramatically rolled 'r'.)

Dh and I haven't even considered names yet.

Mine came up with Patter, like as in Pitter Patter. Don't know where in the world they thought of that but my son seems really stuck on it. Too bad my DH can't decide on a name that easily, LOL.

Our 3.5yo insists that the babe, whom we call Boop, talks to her. Boop tells DD that Boop is a boy, his fave color is yellow, and that he loves her.

DD says we should name Boop Grassfetch or Starbor. On the off chance that it's a girl, Rakina. Hmmm.

My 5 year old has decided to call the baby "Amanda" after his favorite aunt. He has declared that his grandmother's are "too old" to have a baby named after them.

Dissertating wife of Mr. Amazing Man, mother to Boo Bear ( ) Captain Knuckle (13), and The Professor (5). Expecting Penelope Rose 5/10/2010 via planned c/s.

This baby has always been Sleeping Beauty/Bella Durmiente. She's never even seen the movie, though we do have the book; but I'm still not quite sure why she seems so married to this name.

My 3yr old insists the babe is a boy and that we should name him Timmy Tiptoes (after a Beatrix Potter character) and when pressed he says that Timmy Tiptoes works just fine for a girl too.

DD chrisened this baby "Harriet" a few weeks after I announced I was pregnant. I don't know how many of you are familiar with the character Franklin the turtle... but Harriet is Franklin's baby sister's name. DD was pretty bummed and confused when we found out that "Harriet" was actually going to be a baby brother! She still continues to call him "Harriet" though! Although yesterday she called him "Little Lambsy Divey" which is from a nonsense-song that DH sings to her.

Mom to retired nursling Lily (6/22/07) and wife to my wonderful DH since 3/19/05
Baby Aerick is here! Born at 40+6 on 5/16/10

My dd has decided that the baby will be named Baby Rachel. I have no idea where she heard this name or why she so vehemetely insists that it's the one and only choice. My husband and I are kind of intrigued though..lol, you never know.

4.5 year old dd has decided if it's a baby sister, her name will be flower rainbow kinda fuzzy; for a baby brother we have the options of sunny, toothy, and rainbow froggie.
she gets upset if dh and i talk about baby names, "We HAVE names for the baby"

DS1 (3) has decided that the baby should be named "Seven".
I asked him why and he told me that six sounded funny and eight was hard to spell.

DS2 has no opinion currently.

I kind of like Seven. DH doesn't. And if we named him/her seven, an old friend of mine would insist that I was taking his advice because he lusts after the Star Trek character "Seven of Nine".

DH and I - totally winging life with our four children, DS1 (6.5yrs), DS2 (5yrs), DD (3yrs) and DS3 (1)!

This thread is hysterical! I've been literally LOL-ing at my desk reading it. DS is 2 1/2 but never really gave me any name ideas. He agreed/disagreed with various suggestions though. Now it is "My baby Anderson ____" Apparently it is HIS baby and the baby has a dump truck. I'm just relieved he's over the fact that it is a boy and not a girl - he kept saying it was a "sister baby with a white dump truck" for the longest time.

He too says he can "hear" the baby and tells me that I'm being too loud all the time - "Be quiet Mommy! I can't hear my baby Anderson!" What a mouth full for a toddler, but he makes sure to let me know!!

Jessica - I my guys!! DH Marty (4-22-06) DS Marty (7-2-07) DS Anderson (4-12-10)

When I was pregnant for DS#3, my then 4.5 year old (DS#2) said we should name him "Tom and Jerry" (yes both) This time around we are not finding out the gender. When I asked this weekend, DS#2 said he felt the baby was a girl and we should name her Violet or Daisy. DS#3 (2 years old) always says that it is a baby sister in my belly and today said we should name her "brother".
