Since 3pm I've been having major contrx. For an hour I was down hypercontracting...like one solid horrible one. They are now 3min apart consistent.

But I have only felt her move once or twice in hours. Is it normal for them to be so still??? We are ready to head in to get her checked. I'm freaked.

Have you tried juice and laying down? Maybe giving her a little nudge? If you're really that concerned, you should go in & be checked, just for peace of mind.

I would go in and get checked. I know this LO can be quite still for hours and I get myself in a panic.

Sorry I can't be any more helpful but please let us know how you are. It sounds like your LO will be here soon!

With my sons they were all very still once labor really kicked in.

My dd was still for the whole day before I went into labor..

If you are super worried I would get checked out because I am sure the stress of that panic will not ease labor.. but I think your ok.

ELV being sent your way!

Wyatt was very still after I started labor--very worrying for sure. I am hoping that you have gone in to get checked though for peace of mind. Please update us as soon as you can, ok?

Zoey was still during my labor, I think all my babies got that way. I know I asked the midwife to check on Zoey with her doppler when she got to the house as baby had not moved in a while and I got worried.

I never once felt ds move while in labor. I'm not sure if it was because he really didn't move or because I was too focused on labor and not on him. With dd2 I only felt her move twice and it was while in active labor and I only felt it because it hurt. She was probably moving down. Buy I agree if you are worried get it checked out.

Go to hosp at 11:20pm, contrax 2 min apart and at 7cm. Then contrx slowly faded!! It's now 5:20am and just barely over 7cm.

The short version, as I'm typing from fone...
Yesterday around 3pm, out of no where, I started having painful contrx about 2min apart and 30sec long. From 3pm to 6pm-ish I had the weirdest contrx. They were very painful, very short, and one on top of the other, but never getting progessively painful. I thought I had a gut sickness causing this, as I have never had anything like this in labor. Then they quit for 20min. Then back every few min but sometime I'd hypercontract and stay hard for a few min. We were going to head to get baby checked around 8pm since she was not moving. Then we were about to walk out and suddenly she moves. We out kids to bed and laid down. Contrx stopped for 30 min. We decided it was a fluke and turned out lights. Few min later I was slammed w/ 4 long back to back contrx that were awful. We bolted to hospital and were 7cm. Which is where I stayed. Not a single contrx from 3-5:30am. I slept. At 6;30am we decided to break water, mostly because I was so very tired and didn't have a lot left. We did and I sat and waited for the slam I had w/ my others. I had contrx about 4-11min apart then, from 6:30-10:30am. They were topped out on pain scale, but I had a huge break in between each one and I dozed. At 10:30am I asked to be checked as no transition had hit, nothing had gotten worse or closer. I was discourged. While waiting for nurse I had a contrx that said PUSH. They came in, 10cm! I pushed for 30 min which seemed reallllly hard since I was not coming out of an awful transition like usual. Out she came, my first of three with no stitches!!! We were so impressed w/ the staff. They followed birth plan exactly. And although we didn't specify, they took it upon themselves to ask us if we would like to have or decline with vit k or eye goop, etc. She has had some issues w/ blood sugar but after our quota of heel sticks, seems to be ok. Nursed 2-3x with no issues.

:-)
