I am very curious to see how other mamas are doing. I gained a TON with my first dd (70+lbs!) and am trying to avoid that this time! I am just eating really healthy and excersing lightly (a bit on the eliptical a few times a week).
I lost 8lbs the first trimester (go ms!) and have gained 3 since then...for a total overall of -5? (I am 19weeks, will be 20 on monday)
I was about 20lbs overweight to begin with so its not a big deal for me. I guess I was just shocked because I have eaten crapola food for the past few weeks and I was sure I gained a ton!
So how are you all doing? I am intrested to see the differences. My last pregnancy I gained most of mine the last 20weeks so I am sure the weight gain will start to pick up now!

I started at maybe 130 and was at 132 at 11w (all boob weight), 136 at my 16w appointment. I'm now 18w and probably up a pound or two.

I'm 5'4. I started out at 144, which is a decent weight for me. I know it sounds kinda high, but I look very skinny in the 130s.

Anyway, I lost 2 pounds in the first trimester due to morning sickness.

Now at 19 weeks, I'm up 14 pounds!! Yikes!! So I'm 158 total.

I still need to eat frequently otherwise I get very nauseous. So now I'm focusing on healthy snacks to try to keep the weight in check.

I'm a bigger gal, and lost 4lbs this first trimester and am back at that now at 18w5d. My midwife said that bigger gals they now are saying don't need to gain any weight. So I'm happy with that. I'll be keeping my weight in check just so I don't gain a ton. My other pregnancies I'd gained 60+, 35 and 25lbs.

I hover around 100lbs outside of pregnancy (I'm 5'0" and petite frame).

I was at 97 sometime before we conceived, and last time I weighed (before I got sick this week ) was at 109. So I'm guessing I've gained 9-12 lbs, and I think that's pretty good.

I just feel weird saying I'm 109 and almost half-way through my pregnancy. It sounds scary to people, but I feel healthy.

I eat like a madwoman, I want to be chubby and have a big chubby baby. So I eat past full almost every time. I have a really fast metabolism working against me (thanks, Mom ), so I'm trying to gain weight in spite of that.

But at the same time, I was only 125 at full term with dd (but not vegetarian then). So if I get to 125 eating healthy food, then I'll feel pretty good about that.

Happy and in love with my family!

I weighed 105 lbs when I conceived, and as of this morning I weigh 114 lbs. It's more than I had gained at this point with #1, but I'm exercising regularly and eating better than I did with #1, so I'm dealing.

I gained 5 lbs of that over the last week and a half, so I'm just feeling a little like a fat kid right now. Baby seems to have decided get his/her growth spurt on.

I started out at 138 and at 17 weeks I was up to 142. Now I am 21 weeks but have no idea what I'm at! I'll weigh myself again at my next midwifery apt at 23 weeks.

I gained 60 pounds with dd and will not be repeating that again!! I 'ate for two' with her....so not necessary! I am now eating healthy well balanced meals to my hunger and am aiming to gain about 30 pounds this time around.

SAHM to DD 03/08 & DD 06/10 made with love with my DP

I'm 6'0" and started this pregnancy at 135lbs (underweight, I know, but this is where my body likes to be since the 8th grade). I started my pregnancy with ds at the same weight and gained almost 70lbs! I lost it all within 6 months somehow.

So far with this one I've already gained almost 20lbs I eat really well and swim everyday, so I know that this is just how my body works when pregnant.

oh yeah, I'm 19 weeks

I'm up three pounds at 19 weeks. I lost a pound through the first trimester and started gaining in week 16 (when the nausea finally stopped). I'm kind of surprised it's not more, though, because the last three weeks I have been ravenously hungry and eating just about everything I can get my hands on.

I may have lost 1-2 pounds in the first trimester, but got those back as nausea faded, and then leveled off. I'm now at my pre-pregnancy weight, as I have been for weeks. I'm at 16.5 weeks, and boobs have grown a lot, and I even have a baby bump now, but have not gained a pound. I figure I must float really well now, since my density is less than before!

I will be 21 weeks tomorrow and I have gained 10lbs. I stopped checking my weight with my previous pregnancy when I hit the 60lb gain mark. I would like to keep my gain around 40lb this time. I am much more active (at my previous job the sat me at a desk due to hazardous working conditions for pregnancy, so I sat for 40 hours a week) this pregnancy and I am eating much better. I also have a toddler to run around after.

I gained nothing through 1st trimester, then gained 10lbs from 14wks till now (21wks). I've gone from an A-cup to a DD and my thighs are getting noticeably chubby already.

With my last pregnancy, i gained 25 lbs by my due date, then about 15 lbs in the few weeks i went overdue

I'm almost 18 weeks and down 10 pounds............I stopped losing weight about 4 weeks ago but haven't put any on. I had a few extra pounds to spare before this pregnancy so it's not a huge deal. I don't eat overly good or overly bad........although I have been craving chocolate like crazy.

I am 13lbs up at 19 weeks. I am ok with this. I gained 60lbs with my son and was about 25lbs up by 19-20 weeks with him so I'm definitely doing better. I started this pregnancy about 8lbs heavier though so it's hard to see my weight on the scale. I'm just trying to keep it under 200lbs by 40 weeks!

I started small, too. I was 104, 5'1", small frame. Now I'm 118 lbs. (14 lbs. gained at 19w 3d appt.), mostly belly. With my daughter I gained exactly 50 lbs., so I'm expecting a total of around 40-50 this time.

I started out 25 lbs. more than with my last preg. Last time I gained 50 - so far I have gained 9. Much better so far than last time - I get way to short of breath to keep going to the gym, but keep generally active and can't wait to get out into the garden! Hoping to keep it to a total gain of about 30.

I've gained about 8 lb. so far (19 weeks). I gained about 35 with DD, and would love to keep it under that. Honestly, though, I was so scrawny by about 8 mos. PP (go breastfeeding) that it wasn't a big deal. I haven't really been able to exercise much yet...every time i think I'm getting there, I get sick, or DD gets sick and I stop sleeping - the nausea returns when I'm tired. Ugh.

So far mostly boobs and some around the middle.

I gained FAR too much the first time around, almost 80lbs (and I was not a small girl to begin with), and was still carrying 40lbs around when I got pregnant this time.

Fortunately, I've just lost weight this time! I'm down about 15lbs.

I'm up 5, which is less than my first 2 pregnancies. I think it's because I've really cut back on my sugars. I need to keep my weight gain on the low side because I have a history of glucose intolerance, but I think all I need to do to acheive that is to keep eating well!

I've actually started to gain weight

I was 186.5lbs at the first MW appointment, now I'm around 191-192lbs.

I'm 5'7", with a long torso so I tend to hide weight (and the baby) very well.

I'm glad to hear that other people had a massive weight gain with #1! I gained 80 lbs and really wanted to keep it in check this time around. I'm 18weeks 5 days and up exactly 14 lbs. I started overweight and have food issues to begin with, but hope (fingers crossed) to only gain 25-30 this time.

With my first I gained about 60 lbs, 2nd about 45, and about 35 with the last two (my babes all weighed between 7.10 and 8.12). With this pregnancy I started out higher than I wanted to be (150 at 5'4"). I had gained about 7 pounds somehow through a lot of nausea in the 1st trimester. Then at my 14 week appt I was back down to 150 for some reason. I had my appt yesterday (18 weeks and couple days) and I was 154. So 4 lbs so far. Works for me!! Seeing as how I was a bit overweight anyway I'm good with this.

I was up about 17 pounds by 10 weeks, and I'm still the same at 20 weeks, give or take a pound or two depending on the day. I was underweight to begin with, and have food issues, so the early weight gain, while most other moms due at the same time were LOSING weight, was tougher on me than I ever expected.

First time Mama, in love with my DH and we're in LOVE with our baby girl!!!

I've gained 6 pounds thus far, and unlike me I didn't lose weight in the first trimester. So I feel good about those six pounds. I usually gain most of my weight at the end of the second trimester, but I've only ever gained about 20 pounds by the end of pregnancy.

With DS I gained 17 lbs but I don't remember how much of that I had gained at this point in that pregnancy... but at 18 weeks this time around I still haven't gained anything. I have had people say that my legs and face look thinner though, so I guess it is just redistributing.

I have lost 12 pounds thus far, part of it from the nausea that won't go away, part from the stress in my marriage at the moment. I am now on vacation in Costa Rica at my mom's with my kids and without my dh and I have been eating up a storm, so hopefully I'll stop losing :-)

The last time I got weighed was at my last appt. 17wks. I don't have a scale at home. I had gained 14lbs at 17weeks. More than my last pregnancy for sure and I don't feel I am doing much different, except my diet is a bit different. My first pregnancy was in Japan so I ate a lot of fish and I don't eat as much now, more lentils and meat. I am usually pretty thin 5'8" ~120lbs so I don't think I could get away with just gaining 4 or 5 lbs.
