the update on her facebook wall by her hubby..
Terri is still staying in the hospital. No worries please!
On Saturday at 10:08 pm (UTC+1), 9 days too late according to the expected date of delivery, our sun Fritz Edward was born by Ceasarean. He is 51 cm and 4180. According to circumstances, mother and sun are very well....
I think you know that we wanted originally a home birth. Due to her feeling that Fritz might be underserved during the birthing process our midwife wanted us to make some "childbirth pains load tests" in a hospital. Actually it was a good decision because he already has had some stress (greenish amniotic fluid). Therefore, we stayed overnight in the delivery room and on Saturday morning we introduced the birth process with a nasty castor oil cocktail. Terri performed very well until the uterine orifice was opened completely. Unfortunately it was impossible (and incredible painful) for her to push Fritz down since he had taken a bad head position. And Fritz heart rate was too high during the uterine contraction phases. At the end of the day the hospital's birthing team decided to suggest a Ceasarean.
