I live in a small town and we don't have a prenatal yoga instructor. I did learn that a woman is presently learning and will begin classes in August, a bit late for me but I may consider attending for postpartum... for now, I intend to do some yoga work at home and will hopefully build up some confidence and strength to step into a gentle yoga class, for I am returning to yoga from several years of absence. I know how much it'll help during pregnancy and help prepare for the possible marathon of Birth, so that is a great motivator for me.
So, I did some research and found some free online prenatal classes.Prenatal Yoga CenterMamaste Yoga
This is a link to Mamaste Yoga website (don't you just l-o-v-e their name?). Once there, you'll want to click on "Download episodes for free on iTunes" podcasts. There are a total of 7 segments that range from 3 to 8 minutes long, includes: guided relaxation, warm-up exercises, 3 key postures, half-squat to lunge hip openers, stretches for leg cramps, standing postures, and Mamanamaskar Sun Salutation.
