So I've tried the Nymbler and a few other websites, but I can't refine my search enough. Our last name starts with an A, which basically rules out names ending with A. It also has a th, so names ending in th sound really goofy too. (but I really loved Ruth) We have no idea about gender. We only want simple traditional names with common spelling...

anyone want to make us a list of options??

Veggie, babywearing, cloth diapering, lactivist, intactivist, 2x HBAC, non-vaccing nurse and doula, wife of my babies' sweet Dada, Momma of 3 with another coming mid summer.

Hmm... that leaves things pretty wide open. If you haven't already looked, you might want to check out http://www.nameberry.com. You can look up all kinds of name lists, such as traditional, etc.

Amy (34): mommy to DD1 (11/07) and DD2 (7/10), wife, wohm, and wannabe suburban homesteader.

Thanks for the link. It's true it is wide open, but because I can't limit the search to "no A endings" or "no th sounds" it gets frustrating fast. Seriously, there are sooooo many lovely names that end in A, especially for girls.

Any one else have any ideas?

If Ruth is one you really like, what about a longer version of of the name, such as Ruthanne or Ruthie?

Amy loving DH 5/04, raising DD 2/05 and DS 11/09; missing my mom& my babies 6/07, 12/07; and on the side
