My husband and I just decided today to switch from our birth center to having a home birth. I have one son who was born by c section. Anyone else planning a home birth after a csection?

Yes!!! Our second was a HBAC and it was the most wonderful, incredible day of my life. I'm really looking forward to another fulfilling, empowering birth. You can do it!! It's going to be incredible.

Veggie, babywearing, cloth diapering, lactivist, intactivist, 2x HBAC, non-vaccing nurse and doula, wife of my babies' sweet Dada, Momma of 3 with another coming mid summer.

Yes, I am. I had my first VBA2C last June. It was a hospital birth, but totally went great, and healed my hurt in a lot of ways!

Now I'm planning my very first homebirth, after 5 other hospital births.

It's exciting, and I've had moments of doubt. However, I'm focusing on prayer and faith, and surrender...if a fat baby can come out of my vagina in less than 15 minutes worth of pushing in the hospital, then he or she can certainly come out at home..surrounded by our love!

Blessings to you, and feel free to PM me I'm always happy to have and be of support to other mama's.

Blessed Christian Wife and Homeschooling Mother to 8: 17 (our 1st homeschool graduate!), 12, 11, 9, 5, 4, 2 and with blessing #9 and #10 due to arrive April 2015

Its so great to hear positive things. Most of the people I know have been pretty rude about it. My mom insisted I needed another c section , but once she saw the business of being born she was the one who suggested a home birth. So my husband and mom, along with most of my other immediate family members are really supportive and think its a great idea.

I am as well! My third was a c-section due to a complete previa placenta and that was after 2 vag hospital births. I already told my midwives that should I become high risk for whatever reason, they might want to just say I did a UC, because I won't go to the hospital unless my life is being threatened at that moment in time. The hospital I would birth at would more than likely feel a c-section is better even though they supposedly support VBAC's.
