We just got a new apartment management company and this morning they had put notes on everyones doors that on 8/14 they will be spraying all units for 'pests' (we have had a bit of a roach issue :Puke) So at first I panicked thinking how am I going to be away from home for about 6 hours with a newborn, what will I do, where will I go?? Then suddenly i realized that is my edd. What if I haven't had baby yet and I go into labor that day? I am planning a home birth!!! We have lots of family around but no one with an extra room or anything. I could go to my midwife's office/home probably but she is 30-45 minutes away. I do have 1 friend that is close by and will be camping that weekend, however I think her husband will be home. Great 1 more thing to feak out about

If it helps any, only 4-5% of babies are born on their EDD. I would try to see it as way to sit around and feel sorry for yourself if your babe isn't born yet. My EDD was awful. I was so cranky and should have gotten out of the house instead of moping all day!

So sorry you have to be out of your house that day. Even more sorry they are spraying your apartment. I agree with a pp. Chances are you *probably* won't be having a baby that day so I wouldn't worry about that too terribly much. If it does happen you could always rent a nice hotel to have the baby in

Jaclyn, Madly in with DH, Scott. Mama to Calli Elizabeth (23 months) & our new little man, Bode Keam (9 weeks).

Good luck, I hope it ends up being a non-issue. I like the hotel room idea.
