I know we have a belly pic thread but I figure there are other mamas like me who haven't taken a pic yet.
So I'm 5.5 weeks or so right now and I'm very obviously pregnant. I'm fairly thin but I carried two to term already so the tummy wasn't perfectly flat to begin with. Well it is way more than that now and I'm having to choose my clothing carefully. We were hoping to wait to tell people because of our history of losses, but my family made some comments the other day. I guess 6 pregnancies later this is what happens.
Anyone else "showing"?

Ugh. Me! I'm 5 weeks today and I feel very obviously pregnant, but I probably look like I ate all of the Christmas dinner and didn't share any with my family. I'm slightly on the bigger side but have been working out regularly for 4.5 months now and definitely did not have a pooch like this last week. I'm rather embarrassed to be around friends. Two of them are about 16 weeks and I definitely look more pregnant than them This is my 5th pregnancy though and two of those pregnancies were twins so I just think my insides know what to do and get down to business as soon as possible.

According to DH, I'm showing, but I think it's more because I'm thin and bloated right now. I'm hoping not to tell DH's family until 12 weeks+ but I'm thinking that won't happen this time around.

I'm not at all yet and I'm kind of torn about it. On the one hand, I want to start showing soon because this is my first pregnancy and I'm excited as all get out, but on the other hand, I really want to keep this a secret from my work for as long as possible, just because there's a lot of stress right now around getting our product to launch and I feel like my boss would take this as another setback or something.

And by "as long as possible," I mean until, like, March or so. Do you think that's remotely feasible?

I could have kept it a secret till nearly 20 weeks, but I have a long torso and carried up and down rather than in the front.

I do feel I am a little bloated already (although, Christmas is always a time that I pack on a few pounds)

Chelsea - I didn't tell one of the places I worked until 22 weeks (after the u/s) - I am 5'10" though, but I have a shorter torso and wide hips. Depending on your torso, it's feasible. I popped at 24 weeks though!

Here's me at 22w (March 1) and then at 25 weeks (March 24) - LMP with her was October 2. Since it was cold out, I was able to just wear heavier clothes/layers and pulled it off.

Thanks for the advice, y'all. Kalamos, that is a HUGE difference in just 3 weeks! Wow.

I usually wear loose clothing, so I'm fairly confident I could hide something of a bulge without arousing suspicion. And if mine is as unnoticeable for as long as yours, Kalamos (though I doubt it will be, since I'm 5'6" with a shortish torso), I'll be totally incognito until well after launch.

It seems impossible to be showing so early, but I really am! I'm certainly not a "slim" woman, but I am lean- so the bulge is pretty noticeable.

I'm 5 weeks now, and I've definitely noticed something, dh has too. I would say that it's how I looked when I was at about 10wks (or so) with ds. It seems so early to be showing, but it's so exciting!

I was so bloated yesterday I looked like I was about 16w, but today it's much better. I'm afraid, though, how quickly I will show since this is pregnancy #3 in less than 4 years. And I showed quickly with #2. With #1 I just looked like I had gained weight around the middle until about 24 weeks.

I don't think I'm showing yet... and though my pants have been feeling tighter I don't think I can get away with blaming that on pregnancy yet... I really just at that much over the holidays

I'm not quite 6 weeks and I swear I am - though mostly it's fat You can see the baby belly below the fat, though, if that makes sense? I was showing around 10 weeks with my 2nd though, so it's not really that odd. I'm sure to others I just look like I have post-holidays extra, though.

I can't wait to break out the maternity pants, these regular ones are getting very very tight!

I'm not showing at all yet. I'm pretty slim and not too tall- I'm sure that in the next few weeks this little one will start to pop out, but for now my clothes are fitting fine. I can't remember when I showed with my other two, but it was certainly much earlier with the second than the first. You know, I'm not nearly so bloated with this little one actually...I think it's from being off gluten. Whatever it is I'm happy about it!

The day before I got my BFP (10 dpo), I felt my lower abdomen change, and I'm not kidding. The pants I was wearing still don't feel right. Is this what number 3 is going to do to me?!

PS- Erin- LOVE your signature- i laughed my face off. DH did too, when i read it to him

Ok, so I have a "white girl ass" In other words, I don't have one... :-) Because of this my pants are forever riding down to where my leg meets my hip. When I was pregnant with DD, I first noticed my butt getting bigger at around 8 weeks as my pants were tight... well, I'm almost 5 weeks, and my butt's getting bigger!

Fwiw, I split 3 pairs of jeans in pregnancy last time because my butt got big !!!

Speaking of butts, I'm smaller now than I was before DD and have a pair of PVC pants I need a bigger butt, but not a bigger tummy for. I'll let you know if I get 'em before I more on to spring-y waist jeans.

I look forward to tomorrow's pic for tummy comparison.

I wish I was showing, but I just feel fat. And worse: hungry!

So hungry.

I have been wearing yoga pants as much as possible when I'm not at work. I'm only 5 weeks on baby #1 though, so I think it'd be a stretch to say I was showing. Unless what I'm showing is all the pie I've eaten over the last couple of months!

Last time I didn't show until well into my second trimester (18+ weeks?), but it's only 9 months between pregnancies, so perhaps I'll show earlier this time. I kind of hope so, because I really like having a big belly!

I'm only 4w3d pregnant and the past couple of days I have a definite belly. How can this be? I'm soooooo early?! I keep thinking maybe I've been eating more to cause it, but I actually had the flu this week and haven't been eating as much. This is my third baby, I'm thinking I'm going to be huge this time. Hopefully the baby won't be huge. I"m sooooooo scared of labor this time around because my labor with my daughter was so painful.

The bloated belly caused me to unbutton my pants today At 4weeks and 3 days!! This is ridiculous! I was in maternity pants and struggling to "hide" my pregnancy from my co-workers, etc. by 10 weeks, with DS. But I swear, swear, that I already look pregnant!! The Prometrium I'm on is (TMI) giving me some awful bloat/gas/digestive upset, and I'm sure that is contributing. But ugh... I would like to make it at least another month before I have to break out maternity wear!

Ive been wearing them almost every day since due to the bloating... and I only just today got clear dark lines and BFP on digitals (4w1d)

Yeah, even though I've lost weight since becoming pregnant, I've had to kiss my skinny jeans goodbye. It was nice while it lasted lol. I am wearing a size bigger, but after I lost the weight I got rid of all the bigger pants so I think I'm going to hit Goodwill to get a couple to replace them. I have to work in a classroom again this semester and need professional looking clothes.

have you looked into a belly band as well? it helps pants last a bit longer during pregnancy♦

bella band makes a lovely one with a lace edge that looks like a nice Camisol peaking out under whatever you are wearing, but is actually a belly band hiding your undone or can hardly cover your belly pants.

I remember wishing I had this with my last pregnancy. I should get some, it'd be cheaper than getting new clothes right now! Thanks for the reminder!

I am so ready to wear maternity clothes just because my tummy is sore. I hate the waist band because it puts pressure on me and is uncomfortable. I'm so tempted to wear the maternity pants my mother in law bought me already.

Married to a wonderful man and we have 1 adorable baby girl (8/30/2010) and 2 furbabies.
