I noticed that right away, too. I can't believe we're this deep in it. How exciting! 2nd trimester: please be kind, unlike the wicked 1st!

I, personally, am beginning to feel calmer about this baby sticking, BUT, a little panicky about another baby. It's starting to feel like it's going too fast. HOW am I already done with the first trimester? Seriously! Did I just live 3 months and hardly realize it. Has my dh been home that long? Really?

How fast is the rest of this going to go? I'm just amazed.

I have so much to do.

I'm feeling panicky about another baby, too. Not so much what's to get done before he/she arrives, but just how on earth will ANYTHING get done once he/she arrives?!

The ambivalence is mostly gone, though, and I'm thankful for that. It's hard to feel as ambivalent when the baby gives you a good kick or tumble.

ROM, speaking of getting things done: a lady I don't really know asked me what my "nursery theme" was and I was like...uhh, well, the current theme is "I have to stop dumping laundry and crap I don't want to deal with in here at some point in the next 6 months and consider vacuuming." I don't know, though--it's not a very creative theme. Maybe I should go with enchanted forest? Ha ha.

I am *very* concerned about what's going to get done before baby arrives. I am pretty sure my vacuum and cleaning tools are on vacation in Hawaii right now. God knows they haven't been required here lately.

I'm thrilled, thrilled, thrilled to see November group starting up!

I'll be 12 weeks this Sunday and it's been like water torture waiting till I get through week 12 to tell people.

My husband and I were joking last night that the first trimester kinda stinks...

1.) You look fat and can't explain why
2.) You're tired
3.) You're queasy
4.) You have strong aversions to smells
5.) You are at risk for miscarriage
6.) And you're in a cloak of silence

LOL! I thank God for the winter olympics! They've been my escape and focus every night when I feel like a zoombie after a full's day work.

So, even in the midst of this first trimester, there are blessings... I also would do it all over again because it's so worth the prize!

But I'm ready for trimester 2. Let's hope it is a lovely experience for us all!

I've been wondering when it would appear, since I'm 12 weeks today, I knew it must be coming soon! I had trouble putting my boots on yesterday and it took me a minute to realize it was my BELLY in the way!!! It's sinking in... Oh, end of the first trimester... means I'm a third of the way in!! Spring in the second trimester, summer in the third, we are getting closer!!

I saw that too when I got on right now. That's so exciting and I love to see how fast we're moving. Before you know it our babies will be here! I know our 2nd trimesters will be rewarding b/c majority of us will get to feel our babies, I am SO jealous of you mamas who already get to feel it

Hmmm...maybe I'm the only one, but it seems like these last weeks have dragged along. I thought I'd never get to 13 weeks!! It still all seems a bit surreal to me, but I think it's cause all of my clothes still fit and I don't have much of a belly. I keep waiting to "look" pregnant, but so far, it's not really happening.

I was happy to see the November DDC up too!!

I read today that when you reach 12 weeks, the risk of m/c drops to 1/200. That was a really, really nice factoid to stumble on. I just hope it's reasonably reliable.

an md site I just googled said that it's more like 1 or 2 in 100, but that's still very low. 1 to 2% chance of miscarriage isn't that bad, really.

Holy cow, this pg is flying by for me too! I remember being pg with DD and it felt like it took an eternity to get to 11 weeks, but this time it feels like I only found out my BFP a week or two ago. We started telling family and friends last week, and I have my first midwife appt this afternoon - maybe now I'll actually start to feel pregnant.

Oh yeah, not having flat-on-your-back, puking-your-guts-out, dehydrated, losing weight morning sickness makes a big difference! Thank God that this time around I'm just tired all the time!

Me (27) and : DH (29), DD 12/08, DS 9/10, and #3 due 04/13!! Knitting, gardening/preserving, sewing, doulaing, loving God & others. Dreaming of my future farm...
