I feel like we may have had a thread on this topic earlier, but I am too lazy (and cranky!) to look it up right now.

So...has anyone else been extremely irritable lately? It seems like the entire world annoys me lately, and I'm having a hard time keeping the irritability from showing. It's especially bad at work, because things are crazy with the approaching end of school, but even when my sister was over last night it was hard for me not to get all crankypants on her (and my sister is awesome, so it wasn't like she was doing anything in particular to set me off...). DH has mostly been exempt thus far, but that's partially because he's been working such long hours that I haven't seen much of him!

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has been similarly crankypants? Or am I alone in my irritability?

I before E, except after C.  Weird.
DD: 8/2010.

Yes. Thank God, I have a decent amount of patience and tolerance for DD even when she's acting up. I still enjoy being around DH most of the time, but when we disagree, it takes a lot longer to get over it (and I don't feel like he's being particularly sensitive to this even though I've explained it).

Everyone else, I think it's better if I just don't see them until I feel better. Seriously...maybe my closest friends for very short spurts, but that's about it. I almost had to stifle myself from being a bitch to my poor grandmother on Mother's Day. My own mother, forget it, she makes me insane on a good day. I've said things to my sister that I would normally never say- granted, she deserved it, she's just...UGH, but I surprised myself by what came out. It's a very good thing I work from home and can communicate by email with my boss.

My little sister is 17 and I've been a horrible snot to her but it's in response to how she has been treating our mom. Moms a 2 time cancer survivor with a horrible job... She doesn't deserve the crap she comes home to.

Artist, photographer, stay-at-home-mom and Marine wife. Mom to 4; a boy and three little girls.

I have been horribly irritable lately. Just awful. And I am losing my filter so I tend to say things I should at places like work. I was so cranky last night after work and our pets were all driving me crazy (dogs and cats would not leave me alone) that I told DH I didn't know if I should go to my water aerobics class because I know the instructor will work me out hard and I didn't want to say something to her I will regret.
But I went anyways, and I told her when I got there that I was having crazy hormone crankiness and by the end of the class I felt so much better. I worked out all the anger. So at least something helped for me.

SAHM to one precious 2 year old and wife to my loving DH. And here we go again!

Me me me me me me! I know it is being pg, but it is still annoying. I have been super-irritable with dh. I am about to cut off MDC altogether b/c I have lost all filter, too, and so many people are annoying me here. (Not in this DDC, but in general.)

Honestly, I feel like my husband is crankier than I am, but I'm sure he would disagree with that. But mostly I feel really chill and connected with the baby, and it seems like he's stressed and snippy all the time. Could be because we're staying with his parents at the moment and he's dealing with lots of family issues, AND he's unemployed and worried about that. Or it could just be my perception! Who knows?

Me, DH, and DS (9/18/10), living in a multi-generational household (non-pathetic way of saying we live in my parents' basement).

OMG yesssss! I feel cranky and I also feel like (whether or not it is rational) that no one in my world understands, lol. Just finished up an insane 21 credit semester with straight As, had my MIL who has multiple health issues (though a sweet person) move into our already WAAAAAY too small place, and there have been family events like every weekend for the past couple of months that require gifts, food, or my house--which I know should not be stressing me out the way that it is, but yeah, I am tired, sick of having to be 'super duper sweet' to everyone all the blessed time, and really just want to hide and cook this LO in peace for a couple of days.

Cranky? Uh, no... Super Bitch from hell? Yeah, probably. I'm ANGRY with every person I live with.. I mean ANGRY with them for (existing?) no reason at all*.

*I could actually list about 800 reasons I'm angry, but it won't help and it'll just piss me off more.

Add me to the list of crankypants, lol.

And I am sooo antisocial!! Prolly because everyone annoys me lately....and I can't hide it AT ALL!

These feelings are very strong, too. Really hoping I go back to normal after baby is born, otherwise I'm gonna move to the middle of nowhere and homeschool my children until adulthood! I'm a super protective Momma and that's at an all time extreme too.....I don't want my kids going over to friends houses to play and I miss them while they're at school.

I seriously have fantasies of moving my family into total wilderness, miles away from other humans!

Holy emotional overload!!!!!
