Looks like August 24 and September 23.

Wonder if we'll see a slew of babies on those dates.

If this is a sign-up thread, I'll take the 24th.

Hmm. If I get to labor naturally (big IF), I'll take the 23rd, or the new moon on Oct. 7th.

If I get a full moon it would probly be the 23.

I really haven't noticed more births here at MDC on the full moons...

Haha same here! If those are my only options, August for sure. I do not want to be 2 weeks overdue lol.

I checked for my previous kids and the full moon was the 11th and I gave birth on the 15th for my DS, and the full moon was the 12th and I gave birth the 20th with DD. Both were inductions so I doubt this one will be ruled by the moon lol

thunderstorms seem to do more for my labors :P (with DD my water broke during a tornado warning) too bad those aren't as common in september ..

the 24th of august will only be a about 37 weeks for me so not likely (other kids born at 39, 41 wks).. and i'd rather have my baby before sept 23rd .. (41+ 1)

We get a lot of thunderstorms here this time of year... not to mention the chance for a hurricane. Heh, it would be kind of wild to have a hurricane baby.

this would totally be my luck to have him during a hurricane. I had DD like a week or two after the Full moon. This time I'm due 3 days after the sept full moon so maybe that'll be my time.. we'll see, i'm not counting on it.. i have no feelings as to when i'll go into labor. If he's anything like DD I'll bake him a little late but he'll be in a hurry to come out. (5 hour labor start to finish)

It would be incredibly meaningful to us if this baby was born on a full moon night. Ds2 died just as the September harvest moon was rising, and we've both felt very close to him during this pregnancy. We also found out about the pregnancy on the night of a full moon AND found out this was a girl on the day of a full moon. Full moons everywhere.

Interestingly, I asked dh for his best guess about when the baby would arrive. He said August 24th. I guessed the 23rd. He didn't know it at the time, but those days are on either side of the full moon. Makes me wonder...

My daughter was born the day after a full moon at 37 weeks. So I want my ducks in a row before August 23! I'm so uncomfortable I wouldn't mind, but maternity leave wise it would be disappointing. If I can hold out until September 1 my school board will give me full maternity top-up. Having my baby early means the discomfort will be over, but I'll lose nearly $1000.

Both of my guys have been born closer to the new moon than the full moon... and there is a new moon the night of my due date. We shall see if it holds true for me again

DD was 4 days after a full moon...

I do NOT want an Aug. 28th baby. That is when my miscarried baby was due and my horrid nephew was born. (FWIW he is not horrid for being born on my losses due date, same year. He is horrid because for the first 6 years of his life he was raised badly and my mother is trying her hardest to fix him now that she is his foster mother.) Really, I can wait until Sept. 4th!

I'm an Aug. 28th baby, and I'm not horrid... at least I don't think I am! So now you have one good point for that day, just in case!

My CNM's that I saw for DD and DS said there really was a significant increase in births on the full moons! I'll be just past 37 weeks on August 24th but there is a good chance I'll be having a version on/near that day. Yikes!

My SIL is a 2nd year OB resident. I posted about the full moon on her FB page, but you know, she won't reply for a month, because she's a 2nd year OB resident. LOL So I'll let you know in a month if it actually got busier or not.

There were several large studies that disproved the birth and full moon connection, and the ER trauma and full moon connection. That doesn't mean it's not fun to speculate!

I'm 38.5w (a full week more pregnant than ever before) and if she wants to be born now I will oblige!

I have a million little things i should probably do, but I would totally take having a baby today. Woke up last night with some serious contraction like feelings and have been having consistent BHs all day long. My mom wants me to wait until tomorrow to have him/her as it is her birthday. I told her I'll do my best

Me, too. Like, if my water broke right this minute and contrax 2 minutes apart, I would be freaking THRILLED!!!!!

But I signed up for a labor massage class with DH on 9/10. Cos I know I'll still be pregnant.

lol...

I keep thinking, I really want to have this baby. It would be great...

but...

We don't have a car seat yet!
We don't have anywhere for her to sleep yet! (our full size bed is not big enough for me to sleep in alone, let alone with DH and Mae!)

but we are taking care of that tonight after DH gets off work.

AND going to get my snack foods for labor.

My MWs with dd always said that the birth center was always full the night of the full moon (and the day before and after) compared to the rest of the month when it was fairly slow..

I'm no where near labor and i'm guessing I may possibly hit the Sept 23 moon since i'm due on the 26th. at least i can hope.. Way better than going late again.

I was hoping, but alas still prodromal here. Crampy contractions and bloody show earlier gave me hope, but not a whole lot going on now.

I just have my usual crampy feelings but nothing else. As nice as it would be to not be pregnant, I think I'll be making it to my Friday midwife's appointment. I'm only 37 weeks, so a little bit longer cooking wouldn't be a bad thing.

This baby better not wait around until the 23rd, though!!!

Nothing here, and gratefull! Even my crampiness is fading out! Baby can stay as long as he needs to. Sept 23 sounds good!
