After reading the Vitamin K thread, I'm making a shopping list of after birth supplies. What do you Mama's plan on taking (vitamins/herbs) for fast recovery after delivery? I'm having a scheduled c-section, so recovery is different, but my body needs to do lots of healing and I wanna help as much as possible. Also, any herbs or teas for nursing?

I should add.....I'm taking nettle tea before/after, vitamin C, vitamin K, probiotic after, and probably rescue remedy.

I haven't given much thought to taking anything (but am open to what others say), but I do have 5 of these herbal baths to take one a day postpartum:

They say it's good for healing and also good to take baby into the tub with you to help the umbilical stump heal.

I will be taking the homeopathic Arnica to help with tissue/muscle pain.

Cramp Bark Tincture to help with after pains.

And lots of PP herbal baths.

I ordered a whole bunch of herbs for sitting in and didn't even think about herbs to ingest. My brain can only handle one task at a time.

I plan on making a seaweed soup with miso and tempeh when things start and that will be the first thing I eat afterwards. It's supposed to great for healing.

I know Fenugreek tea is great for breastmilk.
I'd like to have something to take for the afterpains. Perhaps crampbark tea???
