Just saying "hi". Hope all are well. I'm a little intimidated by this new look. I can't see my subscribed forums so I'm overwhelmed. I'm sure i'll likeit when I figure it out, but I don't have the time for that right now.

Litchick--Another one here for the hair loss!  I'm so bummed--I normally have thin & fine hair, so it was such a lovely benefit of being pregnant to have thickish hair for once in my life!

Foodmachine--good to hear from you!   Hope all is well.

Pacifica--I'd definitely be freaked out at a pregnancy scare!  On the plus side, DD almost never naps or sleeps without being held, ensuring there aren't too many opportunities for scares right now! lol.gif

Laurski-Sorry to hear your little one has reflux. Mine does too. We started on Zantac but it didn't work that great and it was torture getting Kellan to drink it. We're doing Prevacid Solutabs now and the change has been incredible. Weird about the chickpeas. Did you know your LO was sensitive to legumes?

Pacifica-I don't vax either. Originally I was going to just delay with DD 3 but the more research I did, the more I felt confident in my decision to not vax at all. It's a tough decision for sure and I can understand the reasoning on both sides.

Sorry about all the illnesses. DD is sick with a fever. I hope we all don't catch it.

Congrats to those fitting into your pre-pregnancy jeans. I'm not there yet. Actually I don't have any jeans that fit pre-preg either!

LOL, us too.  I had a little old blood right show up, and I mentioned it to DH because I was like "the hell?  AF so soon?" (took a year with DS1).  DH noticed that it was around the time that implantation spotting would occur.  I must have just bled a little post-sex, and it took a while to come out... who knows... but I totally peed on a stick, and now we're using condoms.

gradstudentmommy: I'm glad to hear your little one is feeling better!  So far Zantac seems to be working for her--it really is amazing the difference that the medicine has made in her demeanor and her sleeping.  She's definitely a much happier baby!  The chickpea/legume allergy is a guess, based on her symptoms.  I started eating a whole bunch more legumes (chickpeas, lentils, split peas, etc.) in an effort to eat healthier; the result was a baby crying in pain from stomach discomfort, even more spit-ups, and really sticky, mucousy poops.  Within a few days of no longer eating the legumes her poops started to return to normal and her stomach seemed much less distressed.

In other news, there have been naps--by herself--in the cosleeper or pack n' play!  (About 1 per day since Monday, each for about 45 minutes.)  There has been more sleeping at night!  (6 hours in.a.row last night!)  I started swaddling just her arms, in a fit of frustration since her Moro reflex kept waking her up.  The swaddling, plus the reflux medicine, plus a bit of getting bigger and older, seems to be helping her a bit on the sleeping front.

Also--I can't believe she's going to be 12 weeks tomorrow.  Holy Cow!

Laurski-Great news on the reflux and napping fronts! That's fantastic. Wow, 12 weeks already. She's no longer a newborn! I probably should have given the Zantac longer than 5 days to work. I just was getting so stressed because I couldn't get Kellan to swallow the medicine and there was a slight improvement, but he was still suffering. He actually loves the Prevacid Solutab and sucks it right down. He'll even lick the little medicine beads off of my finger. We're going to see the a G.I. specialist Monday. I think he needs a higher dosage and needs his meds twice a day. It very clearly wears off after 10 hours and the ped won't up it. We're getting 30-40 minute naps on his own. And yesterday he slept for over 2 1/2 hours on his own! I couldn't believe it. I can't wait to see how he'll sleep once his medicine is adjusted. Love your profile picture!

Kelly-Congrats to your stepbrother! Cute profile pictures.

Hi ladies, I just wanted to drop in to say "hi" and tell you I miss this forum. I don't know how you all find time to post. LOL I rarely have any Mommy time to do anything. The little free time I find, I am either trying to get the house-work done or jump on-line to check emails and FB.

Ka'eo just made 11 weeks and I went back to work at 10 weeks. He is such a blessing and a good baby. I am doing well too, I am almost to my pre-pregnancy weight and can wear most (not all) my pre-PG clothes. Yay! I am healed up well from my C-section too.

Hope all you Sept Mommies and babies are doing well. hug.gif

Mae has reflux :( adjusting my diet has fixed it pretty much though

She also has a cold again :(

Shes almost giggling, cant wait for that.

No pregnancy scares here. We have only DTD once... we are 7 weeks postpartum and I just got over my first AF :( just like I figured... just like the first two times... EBFing does NOT work (for me.)

Luckily(?) DH is deploying in January so we wont have to worry about any even possibility of an accidental maybe-pregnancy. Until then... condoms :(

I am about 75% convinced right now that when I get in to have my thyroid tested its going to be out of whack again. I have all the usual symptoms... depression, hair loss, overly cold, overly tired (yes it sounds like regular postpartum stuff right? but this is to an extent that is NOT normal)

My thyroid is out of wack too. I'm back on synthroid.  We have dtd a couple of times, but 3 weeks ago I got an IUD and haven't stopped bleeding yet.  I'm not a happy camper about that one.

Mae-Sorry your LO has reflux. What did you need to eliminate? I eliminated dairy and that seemed to help some but my little guy is still on medicine because his is really bad. We thought he was having seizures at one point.

Kelly-That's very cute about Ozzy! He seems like a really happy guy.

msdolphin-Glad to hear you're doing so well. Congrats on losing the pregnancy weight so fast!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Mae is good with dairy (thank goodness! my week without it I was going crazy trying to find something I would eat that did not involve milk or cheese... being from Wisconsin/Illinois can really affect your diet!)

So far, spice gets to her. Today I finally got my diet to where I know what spices bother her (chili, wasabi, but not like... pepper or garlic) so now I am drinking a pepsi (ewwwww but we have no coffee atm) to test whether or not caffeine is a problem.

Also highly acidic foods (tomatoes, oranges, lemons, etc.) are bad, as are any food/drink made out of them. Ugh... but I guess thats fine as most tomato based foods I eat are also spicy. So pizza in this house is now white sauce pizza.

It's been a big week for Ellie over here--giggles, rolling over, and, unfortunately, her first cold.

I can't believe I have a three month old already!  Babies are so awesome at this stage--she likes to pull off when nursing to smile up at me.  So adorable!

Hehehe, I love that too, it's so sweet:) Caden mastered rolling over on Sunday and now it's his new favorite thing to do! So no more dashing away from the changing table to grab a diaper from the laundry basketblush.gif

Breastfeeding is making me lose too much weight. I don't want to get to too low of a weight since I was low when I got pregnant and ate ravenously (gained 20 pounds in 2 months!) to make up for it. Trying to eat more between meals! I NEVER want to be as hungry a prego lady as I was the first trimester! Not that I'm pregnant, just thinking in advance!

Also, we're moving in 3 weeks. Any good ideas on how to ramp up my milk supply? I only get about 2 ounces when I pump! Seems that Caden has my milk at a very good balance for what he needs. I need more though since I'll be leaving him with my mom or MIL when I am painting/fixing up the house pre-move.

pump more often... the more milk you express the more milk your body should make.

also, I find my production goes crazy when I have oatmeal. (but I have chronic oversupply and anything that can make production go up always does for me)

I am loving this stage!  Santi will be three months tomorrow.  He's been smiling up a storm!  He laughs and plays and is just so much fun to be around.  We went through some developmental leap fussiness last week but man is it worth it.

This morning I woke up to find his eyes wide open and staring at me.  When I looked at him and said good morning, I was greeted with a huge smile!

Loved this pic!  He reminds me so much of my little Joe.

Joe's hair is seriously bad, lol.  He's almost bald in back.  Has a faux-hawk on top, and one side is almost bald and the other is way too long and is always sticking out over his ear.
