EDD: 10/4/10 (but October isn't open yet, and besides, it's SO early October that I may as well learn from you sage ladies going through it a couple weeks ahead... lol!)

Name: Lindsay

Age: 28

Location: South Jersey

How long it took to you to get your BFP: We started in May, but that was such piss-poor timing there was no chance. Got pg the first "real" try in June, but that was a very early m/c (chemical). Had to take a couple cycles off, but in all this was lucky cycle #7 (if you don't count the first).

What number child is this for you: This will be our first!!!

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies):
Amazing partner, Kate (we're.... civil unionized. How romantic). Two cats: Ra and Keary.

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I have strong girl feelings, but I don't care, as long as it sticks around and is healthy!

Names you like (& are willing to share): Sophie Ellen and James Joseph. Girl after both our grandmothers, boy after DP's dad and my stepdad.

Birth Plans/Preferences: Shooting for a hospital midwife-delivered waterbirth, and have the opportunity to do so at Elmer hospital in NJ. Hoping hard!!

Blog, website or the like: http://carbonateyourday.blogspot.com. this blog is NOT TTC-related, so please don't talk about TTC or this pregnancy there if you chose to visit and comment. THANKS!!! Hopefully it'll turn into a pregnancy blog soon, but not quite yet.... lol.

EDD: Using a calculator I get Oct 3, but I always go over so it won't be until mid Oct at the earliest!
Name: Amber
Age: 29
Location: In the boonies, WY
How long it took to you to get your BFP: Not long...as this wasn't exactly planned!
What number child is this for you: #5!!
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Dh of 8 years, ds12, ds6, dd4, ds2.
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I've always thought I'd have another girl, so that's my guess with this one!
Names you like (& are willing to share): No clue...my babies don't get names till they are a week old usually!
Birth Plans/Preferences: Home~ And hopefully I get my water birth finally!
Anything else you'd like to share: While we weren't planning this pregnancy right NOW...I've always known I'd have one more. I'm excited to be pregnant. The timing could have been a little better, but it will all be fine and work out perfectly I'm sure. I'll just start praying now, that dh will be able to make it to the delivery!

Yay! So excited to have someone join me on the roster!
Would you like to be put under October 3, or just in a general "mid-October" category? Your call, mama!

What number child is this for you: #2, pregnancy #3
Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DS Wyatt born 5/3/08 and Nina, our cat

EDD: Oct. 4. But my first child was two weeks overdue, so I'm not holding my breath...
Name: Anne
Age: 33
Location: Minnesota
How long it took you to get your BFP: Four months. One month of "winging it" (which is how I'd gotten pregnant twice before!) and three months of charting. I found taking my temp every day kind of stressful in that it forced me to think about TTC constantly, but ultimately I'm glad I'm so much more familiar with my body. Honestly, when I got pregnant with my first I had absolutely no idea women could look for signs that they were ovulating! It wasn't until we started TTC after the miscarriage that I picked up Taking Charge of Your Fertility and had my mind blown.

What number child is this for you: Third pregnancy, second child. I had a miscarriage in Aug '09.
Family:: Husband and daughter (20 months).
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): Don't care. Although my daughter has such cute clothes, it would be fun to get to use them all again!
Birth Plans/Preferences: Midwife in a VBAC-friendly hospital. Went the standard doc/hospital route last time and wound up being induced with a C-section. Want to avoid that this time, but I'm just not brave enough to do a home birth (nor can we afford it).
Anything else you'd like to share: I'm only 13 dpo so I'm kind of nervous to even post on this thread! I still can't believe this morning's BFP was real and I'm super super nervous after my miscarriage. AF is technically due tomorrow and I keep worrying that it will actually show. Going to get a digi test at the store tonight and reassure myself tomorrow morning!

-EDD: 10/04/10, but i typically go early
-Age: 35, 36 in oct.
-Location: CO
-How long it took to you to get your BFP: we weren't trying. i poas 10dpo and got a bfp. dh oops'ed big time on cd 8 (a dry day no less, and i o'd 5 (!!) days later), and that's all it took.
-What number child is this for you: if all goes well, #5
-Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): see siggy
-Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): girl, but i adore boys
-Names you like (& are willing to share): rough ideas: girl--Anouk (i have scandanavian roots), Havelah Raine, Oceana. Boy--Thor (or Thorin ((same reason)), maybe Jericho, Joaquin...
-Birth Plans/Preferences: likely UC again, but i may ask my doula friend who's almost a registered midwife and my future preceptor to attend me.
-Blog, website or the like: just fb. pm me and i'll give you my info.

Anything else you'd like to share: feels really weird posting here! i still don't believe it. gonna go get more tests...and even then it'll be a while before it sinks in.

* EDD: 9/29/10
* Name: Molly
* Age: 32
* Location: Southern Colorado
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: Lucky #7!
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH, DD 3.5 yrs
* Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): Last summer when we started trying I was hoping for another girl, but when things didn't happen as quickly as I thought they would I joined the "a healthy baby" club!
* Names you like (& are willing to share): Haven't thought about that much yet
* Birth Plans/Preferences: I had insulin dependent gestational diabetes with DD so I'm eating a diabetes-friendly diet already. I'd love a home birth, but not sure if the local midwives would take me. At the very least, I will be far more in control of my own destiny! I am getting a script for more test strips on Monday so that I can keep a really close eye on my sugar levels myself.
* Blog, website or the like: Nope
* Anything else you'd like to share: I'm really excited for my second pregnancy. I was overly-paranoid and anxious the first time and this time is going to be all about relaxation and taking good care of myself.

EDD: 10/6/10
Name: Vanessa
Age: 27
Location: NC
How long it took you to get your BFP: Last month we didn't really try per se, we just weren't actively avoiding. This month we were trying and got lucky on our 1st real attempt. I can't believe it!
What number child is this for you: #1
Family: Husband and 3 hilarious dogs
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): Honestly, I just want a healthy baby. But, if what they say is true and sex the day before ovulation results in a boy, then that's my guess.
Names you like (& are willing to share): Wrenna Marie and Maxton James. We both really like Maxton, so that probably will be the name if it's a boy. For a girl, though Wrenna is still up in the air.
Birth Plans/Preferences: Hoping for a waterbirth in a BC.
Anything else you'd like to share: Still just can't believe I'm posting this!

EDD: 10/2/10, I'm guessing it might be later because I have longer cycles and DD2 was almost two full weeks "late."

Name: Laura

Age: 26

Location: Northern California

How long it took to you to get your BFP: This pregnancy is a giant uh-oh, and the reason why people are always knocking NFP: it is entirely at the mercies of human whims...mine apparently absolutely propelled me to getting pregnant despite all my "plans" to wait until #2 was at least 1 yr old.

What number child is this for you: Baby #3!

Family: A fantastic, hard working husband (of almost 6 years) and two little girls, 3 1/2 and 8 months.

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I believe my intuition on these things is broken, as I was completely off w/ my first and didn't even venture to guess my second (though at the end, I did feel she was a girl). I feel girl this time as well, but I'm not sure if that's because it's just what I know and I'm slightly terrified of having a boy after finally growing entirely comfortable with being a mommy of girls.

Names you like (& are willing to share): We name our kids after birth...usually because we can't decide on names until then. We haven't found out gender for the first two and won't with this one either, so we'll probably end up trading name ideas for boy and girl in between labor contractions.

Birth Plans/Preferences: I would love to have a homebirth but that isn't going to happen in our current abode, so I will most likely be delivering w/ the same midwife group and hospital as I did w/ #2. I had a fantastic birth experience there, though the hospital staff afterwards left much to be desired, and the amazing, wonderful midwife who delivered me is no longer with the practice...I'm going to pray that things work out...

EDD: 10/4/10

Name: Beth

Age: 37

Location: Denver, CO

How long it took to you to get your BFP: We just decided on New Years to go for it - so just 1 cycle! I'm still amazed.

What number child is this for you: #3

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH of 7 years, DD (almost 5) and DS (almost 3)

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I don't know but plan to find out so I can help prepare my other kiddos and make it more real for them.

Names you like (& are willing to share): I have a list going so we can narrow it down maybe Russel, Bryson, or Albert for a boy. Aurelia or Serena for a girl.

Birth Plans/Preferences: Waterbirth in the birthing center.

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH (31), DS (2 1/2) & 2 pups (77 & 49 - in dog years)
Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): I'm feeling strong girl vibes, but will be happy either way.
Names you like (& are willing to share): Not sure yet.
Birth Plans/Preferences: Our first DS was born at home. We are hoping for the same beautiful expereince for #2.

Anything else you'd like to share: I am excited to be here. We were not planning on another child for awhile, yet I jumped for joy when I saw that BFN, so I guess that means I was ready afterall.
