How exciting!!!!!

My doppler should be coming in the mail next week! I'm hoping to start trying around maybe 8weeks 5 days or something like that? My home birth midwife said that my uterus is measuring about 3 weeks bigger than I am...so she said she thought I might hear it before 9 weeks! We shall see!

That is such a great milestone isn't it!?!?!? Man that is one of the best sounds in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you inspired me! My doppler arrived earlier this week, and I had tried it a few times in the last few days with no luck. I read this, and thought, "why not?"...went in my room, and tried again...THERE IT WAS!!!!! OMG! We're 9 weeks 5 days right now.

We had two losses back to back before Shelby was born, and I was still in the unbelieving stage, LOL. I haven't yet been to the doc and won't until I'm 12 weeks, so this is so encouraging.

Thanks for the extra encouragement, LOL

So if one were interested in getting a doppler, which one would you folks recommend?

I am seriously considering it....since I don't really have room for an u/s machine at home.

How often do you guys listen in to the baby? Am I going to get hooked on this and just sit around listening all day? Not saying that would be a bad thing, just wondering.

ETA: I mean, not saying it would be a bad thing as far as I'm concerned, I'm sure it's not best for the baby...but what is reasonable?
