I'm just trying to get through this day.... My shift started at 7am and I'm not relieved until 9pm. My pt is very cranky as he is teething and coughing. I'm feeling so nausous, it isn't even funny, and all I want to do is curl up in my bed and sleep the day away.

To top it off- after I'm out at 9, I have to drive 2 hours south to stay with my grandma so I can take her grocery shopping tomorrow morning.

*sigh* it's going to be a looooonnng day. I had a big fight with bf and all I wanna do is go home n say I'm sorry.

Blah. Ok. End of pity party.

What a long shift! What do you do? Can you get a lunch break and make a phone call to help you feel better?

been thinking of you since reading your post this morning.

you have already gotten most of your morning.

Children deserve the respect of puzzling it out.

A little less than 10 hours to go... I'd call the office and let them knw I'm sick, but they are so short staffed- and I do need the money.

Days like this, are days I wish I were a sahm y'all are so lucky!

I'm so tired. I feel so sick. I'm not even out of work yet, but I'm so miserable.

there is no way I'd be able to make the two hour drive down, tonight. Just- no way. I'd fall asleep at the wheel, or be too sick to drive much. I called my grandmother and told her I was so tired and not feeling well, and asked if it would be okay if I drive down in the morning instead.

She gave me the biggest guilt trip ever. She's famous for them, but she actually made me shed tears, at work. I assured her I'd be down in the morning, but that wasn't good enough.

Then she askes if my bf is living with me. What does that have to do with anything? She dissaproves of everything.

I just give up. I can't please anyone.

I just want to go home and go to sleep.

Oh, no. I hope you made it down there this morning and gave HER a nice guilt trip! It sounds like maybe she needs local help... if the best she can do is a granddaughter driving two hours just to help her grocery shop?
