Ah, I've been really busy, is it Tuesday already?? Oops

I'm 33w5d, I had a prenatal appointment today, no weight gain in the last two weeks (so still 21 total so far ) GTT test was perfect, and the NP (a new one that I actually liked) was pretty sure baby boy is head down (I can still only find his heart rate high up on my right side, but she said it's just the way he's positioned). So I have one more appointment with them, and then I get transferred to my actual OB! Of course, as luck would have it, my OB is not going to be in the week they're transferring, so my first appointment there will be with their NP.

My friend/neighbor was induced today with her 3rd baby, so I got to go to the hospital and snuggle him! Oh my gosh, I forgot how tiny they are!! I so wish I could fast forward the next 6 weeks so I can get my little guy in my arms! I'm also hoping she'll rub some of her amazing pushing power off on me, because even with an epidural she had him out in 3 pushes! (I pushed for TWO HOURS with my vba2c!!)

I hope some of her push power rubs off on all of us!!!

My week is going well, another week of being unemployeed or what I call extended maternity leave. We have a season pass to the zoo so we have been twice this week which is about 5 miles worth of walking although its slow and spread out throughout the day but I am pooped and need to stay home for a few days.

I am 30 weeks and I'm getting really excited about having a new little baby! We also have started countdown to our big Colorado vacation which is Sept 4-11.

HH - is it the Detroit or Toledo Zoo?

Well starting my official prenatals at 34wks/2d did not go well. After a killer cold and resorting to OTC meds the previous week, I ended up w/horrible BP readings on Monday. All else is good though! Baby is head down. Placenta looks good. Amniotic fluid looks good. No swelling or protein in my urine. Just high, high, high BP. I'll go again tomorrow for another check of that (and I think they ordered every freaking lab under the sun) and see where I'm at. And the dr. is being pretty cool...so far. I think I have a love/hate thing for him. LOL

Other than that, things are good. I'm kinda that I have less than 6 weeks left. I've got my to-do list out and we're on track, but it still seems to have totally crept up on me. This weekend's agenda includes taking all the school supply stuff up to the school (my kids start the 31st), bringing up the baby clothes, washing/prepping the diapers and going to visit my grandma for probably the last time before baby is here.

Which reminds me I need to go email a friend about some odds and ends before I forget.

I'll take some of that push power too!

I'm getting ready to take ds to school, then dh and I are going for our growth u/s this morning. I'm actually really excited to see our guy again!!

I'm like 99% sure he's head down and has been in pretty much the same position for about 2 weeks now.

I will be back to post pics later today.

I'm getting really nervous/anxious. I was not this way with my first at all. This SPD is really kicking my butt and making it hard for me to do things. There is so much that I want/need to get done and it's really stressing me out. I think that I'm also worried about how DS (he is 26 months old) is going to do.

On the positive, I hosted a great LLL enrichment meeting yesterday. I'm also excited about the LLL conference in mid-Oct (too bad it's 5 days before my due date).

mistymama, how did your u/s go?

b_b, we started school last week, and I agree, it's nice to be in a routine, again!

BaMo, sorry you're feeling anxious I've been anxious too, for the same reasons. I've got tons still to do, and dd3 is 29 months and still super attached to me. She loves babies, but she does NOT like to share me, so I'm worried about how she'll adjust.

I have like no energy but all these things that I am wanting to get done before baby gets here. A few more things to buy and being really impatient for payday to get here to get them. Very edgy and snappy at my kids, which I am not liking. I am also wanting to bury myself and be by myself and am obsessed with birthing right now. Any baby story, birth story, baby stuff, ect. This is the start of my nesting. I just hope the energy jumps so I can get this stuff done. I just want to be in my own little world, not the real world where I have so much to do with stuff NOT related to baby things. LOL. Hubby comes home in 4 weeks and I'm afraid my nesting streak will end before he gets home again.

I think this week is "work through your fears" week for me. Urgh. Besides my pre-e hysteria a few weeks back (I am for some unknown reason just reeeally paranoid about it), I have been totally laid back this whole pregnancy. But now the birth is getting so close, baby is still not in a good position, knowing that there's a (very small) chance I could be sensistized this pregnancy and never have another baby... it's just kind of this background noise of nervousness. Nothing overwhelming, though, and birth affirmations and DH are both helping a ton.

You know, I keep thinking that my due date is 9 weeks away. Which I hardly ever make it that far. And then I think about you guys that are due at the beginning of the month, and I think you guys must really be nesting now or getting ready in your own ways!

We're almost there! And so far, no early babies! YAY! Keep cooking a little longer babies. Your day is coming!

southermommie, yup, that would be me. i'm due very early oct, so am nearing 35 weeks now, and i've gone @ 37 weeks before! eek! scary/exciting to think i could go as early as 2-3 weeks from now. (i've never gone over, knock wood)

i'm measuring 38cm's and bh's are much more intense. baby's head down and only just a bit squirmy in a few places due to no room. (hip bone at the top of my fundus wiggles around and so do the feet at the far ride of my side) i can feel baby's hard noggin at just a knuckle inside (against the anterior vaginal wall) and feeling lots of pelvic floor pressure. soooo... it *could* be very soon. drinking *tons* of water, too, to keep up the ol' amniotic supply.

the house is clean and ready and i've got birth supplies in the mail as we speak, so i can *almost* relax!

I'm due the 3rd. Still waiting on that nesting thing to kick in...

Is it weird to still be so calm about all this? I'm 34 1/2 weeks and not at all worried about labor or the birth, or how things will go once the baby's here. I can't decide if I'm deep in denial or should hang on to this mental state as long as possible. All I want to do is sit back and watch my belly move around, which I still think is just about the neatest thing ever.

(I think I might be "in denial" like you, outlier. There's really going to be a real live baby in this house in roughly 5 weeks? No way. I think I'll have a glass of lemonade.)

My second baby was born at 35wks 5 days. That is in days for you and only 4 weeks away for me! I could go anytime after that point. So I "should" have everything ready by 34 weeks. I'm only 30 weeks and 5 days right now.

I still have so much I need to buy and do before 4 weeks is up! Holy Cow!! I hope those of you due in 5 weeks is ready!

outlier, maybe you could bottle some of that and send it my way? this time around, as well as the last, i have been so not looking forward to the pain. i can't seem to find the zen place i was always in in my 20's. i think perhaps since times are hard, i'm not having any luck finding reserves of strength in my life to tap into... :/

I'm kind of in denial, too. I'm 32w5d now, and I feel like I haven't done anything to prepare. By this time in my last pregnancy I had gotten a nursery well underway, I had read a bunch of birthing books, I had been obsessing over names for about 40 weeks already, etc. etc.

Now, DH has a huge exam on Sept 10, and he's been out of the house at work or studying almost constantly--I see him less than an hour a day on average. I've been taking care of our toddler and animals and house mostly by myself, while working 50 to 60+ hours a week in order to complete what I'm supposed to have done there before I go on maternity leave. The only birth related thing I've been doing is inversions to flip the baby since he was breech at my last OB appointment (and he DID flip on Monday, YAY!). Other than that, I'm too tired and busy to worry about the baby stuff I haven't done yet.

But now there's light at the end of the tunnel--we (finally!!) have contractors coming on monday to put up a wall dividing our bedroom in two so that we will have a room for the new baby. By the time they are done with that (and related painting and some other stuff), DH may be done with his test. Then we can start getting the house ready and buying the remaining stuff we need for baby, and whatnot.

I guess I'm counting on this baby coming on time or a bit late like my DD (born at 41w even). If he comes early, we're screwed.

hyz, dh keeps saying "we've got time, we've got time!" But he's going off the assumption that this baby will be a week or more late like our girls. I keep telling him that just because they were "late" doesn't mean that he will be! I'm 34 weeks, technically I could go into labor in 2 weeks and they wouldn't try to stop it! We don't do nurseries (I don't have a spare bedroom even if I wanted to do one for him ) but our bedroom is nowhere near ready. First it needs to be painted, then it needs rearranged because dh moved the furniture into a position where there's no way I can fit in a baby bed and changing table. And there are clothes and boxes strewn every where, uggh! I need to get a new changing table, and I'm trying to decide if I want to get a bassinet or just use the bassinet attachment on the pack and play.

I'm not really looking forward to the pain, either. I never got to transition with my first two (c/s) and while the labor leading up to that with my vba2c was super easy, I was not prepared for how intense it was!

I was sent a really generous early baptism gift from a women I know through my blog, so I actually got some baby stuff! Our infant car seat was getting ready to expire, so we bought a new one. We decided to go with the graco snugride 35, it goes up to 35lbs and 32 inches, so he should be able to use it for awhile. I usually move to a britax after they outgrow their infant seats. I bought a diaper genie too and some misc stuff too. I still need to get a new changing table (no luck finding anything decent used).

Cherry, I wish you were near me - there is an insane amount of changing tables in great condition on our local craigslist! I'd so snag you one! How exciting to get some new baby stuff - makes it all seem very real!

I had a great chat with my doula last night and am trying my very best to just chill while I wait for the more detailed ultrasound. When I do my hypnobabies affirmations, I've added in a line that says "My baby's brain is healthy and normal" and it does make me feel better. Of course I woke up at 3am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep - not really worried, but just thinking about everything.

I'm going to spend this weekend getting stuff ready for the baby, little odd and end stuff like hanging the curtains, decorating the walls in his nursery, putting away his diapers, etc. Then I'm going to move onto deep cleaning - I believe I'm nesting in full force as I have this urge to get everything just perfectly sanitized and clean. Like taking a shower this morning I noticed my shower curtain liner is a little dingy so I want to wash and rehang it. Kinda anal and over the top, but hey I might as well do that sort of thing while I feel up to it!

I think I'm still kind of in denial mode, too. My mw did just drop off the sibling bag of books and videos so I can start doing a little more specific preparation for them. We've talked about the baby, but I'm not sure my 2 yo really gets it.

I suddenly have these itchy bumps all around my bellybutton that are driving me crazy, kind of a small, localized patch of hives. I'm also getting a bit of a yeast outbreak. I really need to get to the health store for some acidopholous and other supplements.

Baby's in good position, and isn't really making me uncomfortable, but I am just so TIRED (Fluoradix for iron is on my list of things to get). And I just feel lazy and apathetic. I don't want to DO anything. I have pretty much just been a hermit this summer. Today is a beautiful day, and I really need to get off my butt and take the kids to a park or something.

misty, I think I'm nesting some, too! We were out all morning, then I came back and the house was driving me nuts, so I did dishes, cleaned the counters and the stove, scrubbed down the table and chairs, and then swept and mopped...now I feel like I'm going to die

Melissa, I generally feel pretty lazy and BLAH, too. So I'm trying to take advantage of it if I get a burst of energy like I did earlier!

Finn was squirming around this morning and it was making me naseous! It was also causing some sharp pain down in my lower abdomen, which was a little nerve wracking (since that's were my c/s scars are!) It was worth it, though, he's been pretty quiet the last couple days and it's been stressing me out!

I'm waiting for my energy to get its kick so I can get stuff done I want done too. So far, I've felt like hibernating the last few days. But I'm starting to come out of my shell again. I'm even starting my Pampered Chef business on top of everything else. Lol. Ya know, after this baby is born, #5, I'll be looking forward to the adult interaction and the fun we have at the cooking shows!! I can't wait! Sometimes a girl just has to get out of the house and have some fun! I'm almost ready baby wise that is. I just have to order another set of 12 cloth diapers from Smartipants and a glider and ottomon. The cloth diapers will be ordered off this paycheck next week and the glider and ottomon has to wait until next paycheck since Babies R Us seems to be out of stock of ALL the internet only ones, which are the cheaper but comfy ones they don't have in stores!

This is so me. I look at stuff and it bothers me and I want to take care, but I just don't have the energy yet. Last time the nesting energy kicked in at about 35 weeks so I'm hoping it kicks in early enough this time. I say early enough because I really have a feeling this little one is going to come early, just hopefully not TOO early (knock on wood, he'll probably be late). I don't know why I have that feeling, I just do. I think my doctor might agree because he vetoed my vacation at 36 weeks, I only wanted to go about 3 hours away. I really need a vacation too, DH is going on his second one since I've been pregnant (guys weekends) and I haven't gotten one yet . I'm not really mad that he's going, just that I'm gonna end up not getting to go anywhere.

But good news is baby is healthy and head down, DD was still transverse at this time, so thats a relief.

PS: I can't believe how close some are us are getting.
