Seriously... why do my upper legs/inner thighs hurt? It feels like I have been working out a lot but let's be honest... I definitely have not!!

I know contractions can hurt in the thighs. So maybe your uterus is getting irritable?

Hmm... hadn't thought of that... I have never had a BH or any contractions that weren't post induction so I have NO idea what they might feel like!! You would think I would have a little more of a handle on this after 2 kids...

My legs get sore really, really easily these days. It feels like I've been doing hamstring exercises or something. I wonder if all your moving did a number on your legs. My guess it that it will go away in a few days.

It isn't even like, where moving would have made it sore. Its like around my hip joints? Come to think of it, it is EXACTLY like the OMG MY LEGS ARE BEING TORN OFF MY BODY pain of labor except not at awful. I know the issue during labor was that my pelvis doesn't open up so it was horribly painful... wonder if this baby is like, actually trying to engage or something? My other 2 never did that...

I've had it with all my kids, it's the loosening of the pelvis to prepare for delivery.

mom to 4 kids, ages 20 mos to 11 years

i just read an article by dr sears about the "joys" of being 9 months pregnant and sore thighs was one of them due to the hormones and pressure of the uterus.

omg, chely ... you had the "my legs are being ripped off of my body" experience during labor?!? I've never actually found anybody else who knew what I was talking about. I kept thinking of when I was a kid seeing the boys torturing spiders by pulling their legs off. Totally not a great image to labor with. I've been trying to visualize NOT having that this time around. Please tell me your second was easier than your first!

Sadly no words of encouragement here... had it with both boys and both ended with c/s. Though if it helps, there is a medical reason behind it for me! My body makes basically NO relaxin so my pelvis just doesn't spread. Hopefully this next one is easier for you! It was the worst feeling...
