Elora was 8lbs 1oz at birth, roughly, and now at 9 weeks is 12 lbs, roughly. :)

i noticed several weeks ago that she went from having that pink newborn skin to the white, rolly polly baby chub that says i'm-a-baby-now-and-not-a-newborn. she still has the fine duck down hairs on her shoulders, tho, so that's consoling. :p

James was 9lb 5oz at birth and at one month he'r roughly 12 1/2lbs already.  If you account for the fact that he was down to 8, 12 in the hospital, thats almost a lb a week.jaw.gif  I guess its not that suprising based on how much he eats.

Geez! I feel like Sophia isn't gaining much compared to all the babies here. She was 7.2 at birth and 8.2 at 1 month. We had mostly 0-3 mo clothes for her and had to go out and buy newborn clothes so she wouldn't be swimming In her onesies. Poor thing! Still at 5 weeks old, all of the newborn clothes still fit perfectly, or are still too long. I don't think she'll be in 0-3 mo clothes for a while!

Ds's latest stats:

birth = 9 lbs 7 oz

1 week = 8 lbs 12 oz

1 month = 12 lbs 14 oz

2 months = 16 lbs 8 oz  bigeyes.gif

It won't be long before he weighs more than some 1-year-olds we know!

We just had Naomi's 3 month check up today.

She weighed 12lbs15oz.  She dropped from 90% for weight at 2 months to 55% at 3 months.  The doctor didn't seem worried at all...me, on the other hand?  Ugh.  I already am paranoid that Naomi doesn't eat enough (even though her wet and dirty diapers seem adequate...)

Naomi's weight history:

Birth 8lbs2oz

2 weeks 9lbs1oz

4 weeks 9lbs15.5oz

6 weeks 11lbs

8 weeks 11lbs12oz

3 months (13 weeks) 12lbs15oz

Haha, you sound just like me lol.gif

Dylan followed a similar pattern, actually. He's over 3 months now - 13 1/2 weeks - and his weight gain has definitely slowed the last 3 or 4 weeks. I believe that around the 3 or 4 month mark, the babies do often tend to slow their weight gain slightly, especially as compared to the first few weeks. Dylan went from 6lb 15oz to just over 12lb in only the first two months, but the last month has probably only gained 1lb or so (haven't weighed him in a few weeks, so just guessing based on how heavy he's becoming in my arms!). He's still at a very healthy weight though - as is Naomi - so I really don't think there's any cause for concern. Remind ME of this next time I have my freakout!!

help!!! my turn to freak out again

madison has dropped yet another centile so from eing on the 91st at birth she's now on the 50th

14 weeks and 13lbs 14 oz  meaning she's only gained 7oz in two weeks. the health visitors are calm but starting to show little signs of concern, which obviously means im totally having a meltdown..... :(

Is she happy and meeting milestones? Pretend you haven't weighed her, whats your instinct say? I she weeing and pooing lots?

I would post in the breastfeeding forum too, to get more replies. Big breaths, stay calm. I bet she's just fine. Breastfed babies gain differently to formula babies. Is the charts the health visitors using for breastfed or formula babies?
