We moved to my DH's hometown a year and a half ago.

Simply, am I ever going to feel at home here - like part of the community?

Thanks!

It's not silly. It's an understandable question!

I do feel that you will find communities within the community to be a part of. But quite honestly, it feels like it will always be somewhat of a struggle for you to feel like you fit in completely and are at home. Overall in general, I see you being comfortable there, but not necessarily like you would call it "home" in the sense of where your heart is.
