This is a rather difficult subject to condense, I'm going to throw out a few bits of info and whatever you can pull from it would be a great help. My ex who is father to four of my children is the most intense drama filled situation going on in my and the kids life. After years of silence he has gone on a rampage, barging right into our lives in a most unwelcome way. He has been throwing me in and out of court for a year and the judge has been siding with him and overlooking the past abuse and my current restraint order. My ex has taken the kids for two, one week visits over the last 7 months and its been awful. Taking the kids illegally out of state, they sleep in the car for days, eat hardly any food, he pulls me into emergency court hearings and doesn't show. Etc. Etc. Ok, so is there any way I can end this? Bring closure? Make things better for the kids & I? I've considered a new lawyer, a change of venue ( to get away from the awful judge who is giving my ex too much power ), will he just give up and disappear? Do I need to come to terms with this craziness? Essentially I want to know how to bring peace to this situation, to not allow this abuser to have so much power over our lives and this judge who keeps giving him power. Is there anything I can do. I need this drama out of my life for good. It is hurting the kids and I too much. Many thanks! I'm not trying to ask multiple questions, just throwing out what I've been trying myself!

What I used to feel for this situation has changed a bit. I feel that he is in this with much more gung ho now. I feel that since his last relationship ended, he is trying to take control wherever he thinks he can find it. I feel like he has a malicious intent with this. Not to hurt the kids, but definitely to hurt you. I feel he is very angry right now. I also think he is not completely mentally and emotionally stable.
Honestly, I'm not sure what to tell you. I think he needs to be checked out for his issues. As in psychological testing. If you think moving lawyers and judges would help that I suggest you do it. I dont think he's going to stop on his own.

I'm sorry for what you are going through. It sounds really awful and very stressful and when little ones are involved...well I just can't imagine!
