I am writing for my mom, Emmy
I lost my job on Tuesday. During my recent reading with you, you mentioned a job in Home Care and Medical Support Store. Although I have begun looking, I am feeling a bit worried. I am looking up places in the phone book to begin my search, and am especially focused on places with doctors named Jack.
Can you give me more information on the process of finding my future jobs?
btw: When I was let go, I was really comforted by the knowledge that you gave me - knowing I shouldn't expect to be in that job for more than 2-3 months. I am accepting this transition as a normal path in my life. This has made it easier. Thank you for your information.
Hi Emmy (and Amy) ,
I'm sorry to hear about the job loss, but so happy to hear you are embracing the experience. I do remember what I said during our session. I especially hope you are remembering not to take anything personally. Right?! Not even being let go!
As far as the jobs we discussed in the our session, I want you to reach out to any and all connections you have. Even ones you would assume (never assume) might not help you. Also don't assume you haven't made any friends yet. So what I mean is, that I actually think that someone from your recent job may be able to give you a heads up as to what direction to look. Do not be afraid to call some of the people you worked with and ask if they know of anything. You may be surprised by their responses. It never hurts to ask anyways.
Also I am seeing a posting for a job on a board. A cork board in a public area. Like a store of sorts. It reminds me of when I lived in Seattle and the grocery stores has a cork board with all kinds of listings. Anything from jobs to apartments. It looks something like that to me. I would keep an eye out for boards like that. I've seen them in the bookstore and for what you are looking for, you would probably have the best luck in hospitals.
Good luck Emmy. Something will come up in the next couple of months for you. Hang tight!
