So I made some frozen maxi pads soaked with an herbal sitz blend, but now that I look at them in the freezer, they seem so hard and rock solid.  Not very comfy at all for postpartum.  Is that how they are supposed to be?  Like big, flat icicles?  I was thinking I might have put too much of the liquid in, they were pretty soaked.  Should I make a new batch that is a little less wet?

My witch hazel ones softened up fairly quickly when taken out of the freezer.

I find they thaw pretty quickly once you put it on, you could always leave them out for a little while to thaw a bit.

Mine seem that way at first, however after about 5 minutes of sitting out they are no longer so "frozen" seeming and they are more cold/damp.

Have you tried sitting them out just a little to see how long it takes them to feel okay?

My pads were more than damp, but no means wet when I put them in the freezer.
