With my first, I didn't show at all until 18 weeks. Then it just popped out a bit.

Now Im reading online that you can start showing as early as 8 weeks with second, third, fourth, etc. kiddies, because your uterus is already the size of an orange by week 8?! Who knew!

Does anyone whose already had 2 know about this? I cannot imagine trying to hide a bump until second trimester! I'm excited for the bump, for sure. Just wondering how I will hide a bump until the safety of tri2 when were going to the the swimming pool this summer.

DDCC from Sept... oh yes, you can show ridiculously early, I'm on my second baby. My pics:

9 weeks:

15 weeks:

And I have gained ZERO pounds so far. Don't ask me how that's possible.

oh my! Your belly is gorgeous!! So, did you and you DH wait until 12 weeks to tell people?! I guess, I'll just play it by sight. haha. If the bump gets too big... we'll have to move up the info release date.

We were hoping to close on a house in June and have a housewarming party to tell everyone... now Im thinking, we will be telling people a lot earlier.

Thanks soo much for posting pics!!! Its even more exciting to be reminded of how cute pregnancy is!!

With my first, I managed to get away with not telling at work until 21 weeks (although the last two of those were the Christmas holidays and I wasn't around). I don't remember how it was with #2 exactly, but I never would have gotten away with that. I just looked back at the photos and I was showing well and truly by 12 weeks, and hinting much earlier.

Sarah, mother to Eloïse (5/2005), Lucas (3/2008) and Ilias (7/2011), and due with #4 (March 1, 2014)

We went about 12 minutes without telling anyone... I'm bad at secrets, haha. Plus it would have been obvious from me abruptly quitting smoking and drinking. But yeah, even wearing not-form-fitting clothes at 12 weeks I was pretty obvious. Depending on your body shape you may be able to pass it off as gaining weight, but considering warm weather clothes-- that may not work.

And thanks

With pg2 I could tell by 10weeks ... not sure if I was "showing" to others, though, but with pg3 I was in maternity clothes by 10 weeks and obviously pregnant with the belly by 14 weeks. I'm only 6-8 weeks now (will find out the EDD next week at our u/s) and my belly is definately bigger and I can't button my pants, but have gained no weight, either.

im only 5 weeks and i swear im totally pregnant looking, ok maybe to no one else but i had no belly at all, im pretty thing and short about 100 lbs. I assume its all bloat, i mean it cant be uterus, but i also cant exactly suck it in and its still there when i lay down on my back. Its almost scary like god i hope its just one!

I did have mroe of a belly as in if I pooped it out i could look pg when i wasnt before, but normally, im mean even when pmsing i didnt look PREGNANT like now! Im actually like rubbing my belly as if there's a baby in that bloat haha

Sitting at 5 weeks now, going through my closet for my bigger pants or things with drawstrings. With #2, I broke out maternity clothes around 8wks much to my chagrin.

Oh, yikes. I've been trying to get rid of a few pounds I've put on during school, but they really never went away, and I'm not sure if the pooch I see is leftover pounds, bloating, or baby. I'm not ready to wear maternity clothes, but I am ready to have a reason to look pregnant! I need to take some belly shots, but I keep thinking I'll wait until I don't feel so gosh darned bloated.

One curly engineer + One curly accountant = One curly preschooler (12/2010). Next up: 9/2014. Hoping this one sleeps, cause the first one didn't.

I'm 4 weeks and I can already tell that a bump is forming. My stomach was flat before and now it it bloated and kinda just sticks out. I had the same thing with DD1 but it did not start until about 6-8 weeks so I can just tell that I will be bigger a lot sooner than last time.

With my first, I was in my best friend's wedding at 8 months! The dresses were long with a fitted top, and because I didn't gain much weight at all (10 lbs total), it was still very flattering.

This time, I'm in another wedding, but will be 6 months. Can't wait to see if this "second bump comes early" thing is true!

I would like to make it to 12 weeks without showing but I doubt it. I plan on being on a strict meal plan that will help with the bloat. It's the Belly Off diet by Men's Health. Don't worry, it's not a meal deprivation plan. It just wholesome meals and snacks, hardly any pre-made items or processed/packaged foods. In my 1st pregnancy I didn't gain any weight the 1st trimester, I hope to do that again. As I gained a total of 35 lbs anyhow. I retained 10 lbs....grrrr.

I'm not even 7 weeks yet and already I'm breaking out the maternity clothes. Which, I didn't wear until 8 MONTHS with my first and about 6-7 months with my second. Oh boy, this is going to be fun. Not even 7 weeks. Geez.

Well, I am just now on my second, so I can't answer, but this thread got me thinking...when are we starting our belly bump thread? I am just a little over 4 weeks, but I took a photo the day I found out at 3 w 2 d (uploaded on an album here, but I can't have too many pics on the site for some reason) and DH is taking daily pics to make into a movie at the end of the pregnancy!

I just looked back at my weekly belly shots from my second pregnancy and I don't think I was noticeably showing until around 16 weeks... like to where it looks like a baby. I had a little pooch by 14 weeks by not something you could see if I was wearing a shirt or anything.
