I'm about five and a half weeks preggo. If I had a bump, it'd be due to the gigantic gyro I just ate, lol.

But I'd love to see other people's bumps!

I'll be brave and post mine! First, I'll link to my flickr photostream, which is where I'll be uploading all the pics (you'll notice that my butt is particularly large at 4w2d )

And here is the pic I just took in the bathroom 5 seconds ago. In my defense, I really need to go to the bathroom!

Brandy, quick question. I'm due on the same day as you are, and by my calculations I'm only 5 weeks 1 day. Do I have prego brain or did I miscalculate somehow??? I just used one of those calendars that go based off conception since I was charting and know when I conceived. My "move up day" (not sure how to describe it but the day I am one week further along) is Friday.

Cute bellies!! I will try and take a photo next week. I know there isn't much change at all, save a little bloat.

Lawmama, according to my calculations, if you have a due date of 12/17 you would be 5 wks 1 day today.

I know this doesn't make any sense, and it's got to just be bloat (cause holy, I feel bloated!), but I really do have a bump! I put a photo from this past Halloween in there too, not that it's a great belly shot, but I think it shows half-clearly that I didn't really have a baby belly before this bfp. Insane.
Anyway, today, at 4w4d (I could, technically, be exactly 5 weeks, but I'm pretty sure I'm only 4w4d):

For comparison, 9 weeks with dd (awful, awful photo!):

Looking forward to seeing things grow. haha

I'm loving all the bumps! I think it will be neat to see everyone as they groooooow!

I am developing a nasty cold right this second, (and pretty sure I would not be taking any photos of myself looking as crappy as I feel) but will be adding a photo soon. I think it's hilarious that although this 7 week old baby is super teeeeeny, tiiiiiny my normally flat stomach is starting to disappear.

I'm ok with that - I guess with 4 pregnancies "under my belt" it's bound to start happening earlier and earlier! When I was 21 and pregnant with my first daughter, I still had a pretty flat stomach when I went in for my 20 week ultrasound! Those days (19 years later) are long gone, I guess!

No photo to share, but wow...this is going to be hard to hide at work...
I would have thought after 6 years, I'd not show this bloat so quickly...with DD1, there was nothing until at least 3mo.

But it's super exciting to see it...esp at the end of the day!

All the bellies are great to see! It's amazing to see all you thin mammas with bumps! LOL!!! I am still fat, so I think I might be able to hide this pregnancy for a while, I HOPE. I do not want to let anyone at work know yet.... preferrably for 4 months or more. There's no point in me sharing a belly pic, as this is baby 5 and I still have a spare tire hanging around, which, if I let it pooch out, looks like I'm 4 or 5 months along already! LOL!!!

I had to redo mine because i finally figured out that i needed to go by my last period (i called my RE nurse) and since i have steady 45 day cycles when i calculated my due date i'm actually due like dec. 13th....which dd will be really disappointed...she wanted the baby to be born after her birthday lol

Just because EDD calculations were one of my favorite parts of the first week of midwifery school...
If you have 45 day cycles, you calculate by subtracting, from the first day of your last period, 3 months AND then adding 7 days plus the difference between 28 ("average") and 45, which would be 17. So, -3months, +25 days.
So, if your LMP was March 8th (for example), you would subract 3 months (December 8th), and then add 25 days, which puts you at January 2, 2011.

I get really worked up about this, only because it makes a HUGE difference sometimes in terms of when people are going to start getting excited and/or aggressive about induction.

end thread derailment.

For greater things are yet to come...

How would I calculate, then, if I dont have regular periods?? Sometimes I'll go a normal 28-30 days, sometimes 60....theres really no rhyme or reason to when I'd get my periods.

Im fairly certain I ovulated right around March 29/30...but would that affect calculating my date if Im not usually a regular ovulator?

If you go by ovulation, which I totally think it the most accurate way to do it, you subtract 3 months, and then subtract 7 days. So, a March 29/30 ovulation would give you a December 22/23 EDD. (Dec 22 being an awesome EDD My dd was due, and born, on the 22nd.) The fact that you're not always regular is less relevant than the fact that you're fairly certain about when *this* cycle was hapening.

I find that most physicians refuse to believe anything but their stupid wheel when it comes to due date calculations. Most midwives are much more willing to believe that you could actually be aware of your body enough to know when ovulation occured, or simply that you tend to have long cycles. When I have to deal with physicians, I usually just lie and give them the LMP that will correspond to the EDD *I* know is right on the dumb wheel. So, if I were you, I would just say that my last period started on March 15 or 16th. It's probably not critical, but, especially if you're a first time mom, you're likely to go over a little bit. Getting the right EDD on your chart from the beginning could potentially save you a LOT of stress at the end. I don't know why we are so hung up on forgetting the *Estimated* part of Estimated Due Date (EDD).

For greater things are yet to come...

Whew! I am so glad I was charting and FF gave me an EDD based on O!!! With DS, I just used the stupid wheel and a dating u/s, which I think were both inaccurate, but led to an induction (failed) and a c/s!
