I had one last night that DH decided he was called to a "mission" 12 hours away from where we live, and he had to be there for 5 months. I was begging and pleading with him not to go. It didn't seem like mission to me, it was some dodgy company, I think Arnold Schwarzenegger was somehow involved and he felt called or something to go work there I think as some receptionist.

Anyway the dream went on like all night and I can't get it out of my head. The way he just ignored how desperate I was. It would never happen in real life, he's very sensitive to my needs.

But man those pregnancy dreams really stick in your head and affect the spirit don't they? I've got to get out in the sunshine and try to shake it out of me.

What have you dreamed lately?

Mu dreams have been horrible this pregnancy. I've been having a lot of scary and sad dreams. Last night it was about serial killers in my house, great. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep because we had the windows open and I kept laying awake listening for someone to cut the screen and break in and kill us. Yup, I'm all kinds of rested today. :eyeroll:

I've had a lot of dreams where I wake up bawling or really angry. I can't wait for the sex dreams to start! Those are a LOT more fun!

I had 2 distinct, odd dreams earlier this month, nothing lately. With DD, I had vivid dreams of delivering her in bed whilst I slept! Waking up panicked, not knowing what to do. Nothing this time related to the baby or pregnancy. Anyone noticed a correlation between baby's gender and dreams? I did have sex dreams last time but they were of the sapphic kind.

I am fascinated by what the mind does...

I have had a LOT of scary, sad dreams too. For a while I was having a lot of miscarriage dreams, but those have pretty much stopped. For some reason I keep having dreams where I am smoking while pregnant and feeling really guilty about it. I hate those!

Proud new mom to J, 12/14/2010! Miss you Basia. candle.gif

I've had a lot of birth dreams too, and then I realize the baby is too young to be born and I end up delivering this teeny tiny baby, but it's healthy. I end up carrying it around in my pocket or something. Very weird.

Yeah, I haven't had any raunchy ones yet. Although I did have one where I got to go back stage with Nuno Bettencourt. But the best I got was a conversation and he smiled back *swoon*

I'm having lots of WEIRD sex dreams... I'm used to not being able to remember my dreams at all, so it's strange to now remember all these kinds of dreams...

ME TOO! I've had dreams about killers, usually someone else getting hurt or me being trapped. I've not been dreaming of the baby which has brought me down (in my last pregnancy I was always dreaming of baby). My dreams are very scary lately!

Oh, sure. I read this yesterday, then BAM! Weird dreams last night. Something about a girl with a split personality. Or it seemed to be about a split personality until I saw her switch places with a look alike. I spilled her purple nail polish and thought she might try to kill me because of it. Then I thought dh was trying to get frisky and it woke me up, but he was in the shower.

Freaky!

I am loving these and loving that I'm not alone in the crazy dreams!

Adamsmama, I'm sorry you're having the scary and sad dreams too. It does make me feel less freaky that someone else is having them with me though!

raspberry.swirl, I've been thinking about the dream/sex connection (if there is one) since you mentioned it and here's my experience: With my first, a girl, I had violent/sad/scary dreams with some sex thrown in there. I didn't dream about the baby, sometimes in abstract ways but I never remember giving birth and having a baby. With my second, a boy, I had a lot of sex dreams, I don't remember having he violent/scary dreams that time and I also had a lot of sapphic (I totally had to look that up!) with him. This time I am following the pattern of my first and I do think this is another girl. We'll see!

It is interesting!

They're all about sex for me. It's like I'm really there and I can see and smell and feel just as intensely. So absolutely fantastic are these dreams that I hate waking up.
Oooh la la! More, please!!

I've had a few sex dreams, a few about labor and birth, but I also keep having horrible ones. They seem to lately be featuring six foot long coral, adder, and rattle snakes. And I usually seem to have those the night DH has overnight duty! So then I wake up and have to pee, and no way do I want to step out of bed!!!!!

I seriously hate pregnancy dreams. Its very rare for me to have nightmares of my children dead or dying, but when I'm pregnant its several times a week. Yesterday's was so bad I woke up crying and couldn't go back to bed. It doesn't help that I have a really vivid imagination.

I had a dream last night that there was a momma bear with cubs outside my house, and we couldn't leave the house for fear that she'd attack us. I was both in awe of her maternal skills and annoyed that we were stuck in our house at the same time. I was also pretty scared.

And the night previous I had a dream that my older brother announced that he was pregnant with twins, that he had been born with ovaries and confessed that he was gay, had been in a relationship with a guy for 5 years and had already birthed one child with this guy. It was a very very weird dream. I can't explain, it just had such an eerie tone to the whole thing, just this horrible gut feeling throughout.

I have the most vivid and random dreams lately. Lots of weird, some scary, and some sexy. I think I might keep a notebook next to my bed so I can start recording my dreams.

I have been waiting for a baby dream since I have been pregnant and have had them in past. I always dream vivid, multiple dreams a night. So early hours this am I awake to decide to go back to bed, roll on my stomach and think "wonder how much longer I can sleep on my stomach?' remember I'm pregnant and ask for a baby dream.

I dream I am at some outdoor hippie fest. I give birth and all is well. We look at the baby, a girl. I notice blue eyes. Then we notice blond hair (we both have dark, thick, curly hair). Weird we think. Then she starts growing a penis. (we aren't finding sex out and both feel strong girl presence). I start tripping cuz I have no clothes to put babe in. He's naked, penis growing, I am looking for cloth diaper but they are all pink. I look over and he is playing with himself. Now he is sucking his penis! I start to say 'Ew, sweetie no" but think I shouldn't put any penis trips on a baby.....I wake up!!! YiKES!!
