DH and I may have found and agreed on a girl's name. More than likely we would call her by a nick name, like we do our DD, but the only nick-name I came up with that I like is Ari. I know know that there are boys with that name, but what about for a girl?

A know a few girls that use that as a nickname (and one boy...well man)...

Actually my daughter could use it as a nick for her middle if she still went by that (a lot of people use that when she was young cause her first name is difficult...)

This is a tree on fire with love, but it's still scary since most people think love only looks like one thing instead of the whole world. *

DDCC

My youngest is Ariana but we call her Ari.

I had never heard a boy named Ari before we named her and it's pretty rare.

I think it's cute. I've heard it for a boy once, maybe twice, but I wouldn't consider it a solely masculine name.

I like it! In Hebrew, it is a boys name, short for Ariyeh (lion). I like it for a girl too.

I am kind of surprised I have never heard it as a nickname for a girl seeing as many of you have. DH and I definitely made up our minds, so if it a girl her nickname shall be Ari.

I think Ari is a cute nickname for a girl One of my favorite names (vetoed by DH, boo) is the Gaelic name Arienh (AHR-ee-en) and I would use the nickname Ari if he were ever to cave on that one.
