I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this or has an idea of what it is.
I have this pinching like pain at the top of my uterus sometimes at the right side and sometimes at the left.
Right now it is on the left.
It intensifies during a contraction and is the only part of the contractions that actually hurt right now... the rest just feels tight.

Any ideas? Anyone else?

Do you know baby's position?

My baby is head-down, with his/her booty up near my ribs. Sometimes he/she will get into a position where the booty is pushing up against my ribs, or he/she is pushing his/her feet into them. Also, like DD, this baby seems to prefer LOA (left occiput anterior- for more info about positioning, check out this link: http://www.spinningbabies.com/baby-positions). If he/she moves to the right side (think booty on the right instead of the left), if feels super uncomfortable to me.

When baby was breech a few weeks ago that was really uncomfortable, too.

So maybe baby is in a position where pressure is being put in different places/on a nerve/etc. I might try pelvic tilts and other exercises designed to get baby into an optimal position (more on the link above). It's not as though position is super important at this point- it's still early- but I find that it helps me be more comfortable.
