just wondering what you all think about a nice girl name that goes with summer (our 2 year old)...
i will not be naming the new babe winter, as a few have suggested.

anyone have any ideas?

i like the name ruby, but other than that i have nothing.

Mama to two girls, born 5/08 and 11/10.

nothing comes to mind at the moment, but I like Ruby. I think it's feminine and pretty.

Ruby is lovely. I like old-fashioned names like that. Other names...hmm...Violet, Rose, Hazel, Eleanor, Pearl, Claire, Daisy, Ivy, Robin, Alice?

Ruby is lovely.

And I also wanted to chime in to say I LOVE the name Ivy. Its definitely staying on our short name list for a future babe. (though probably middle name).

If youre looking to stay in the same general "style" as Summer...I think you can get away with any nature-type name as well.

I really like Pearl and Rose. Some people use Sage as a girls' name; that could work, also. Lily?

Of course, you could always just go on another tangent, and name her something like Rachel or Rebecca or Stephanie or Samantha.

I was just popping on here to say Isis.
I think the two work together quite beautifully.

ruby is lovely. are there any birthstones, flowers, or other seasonal items that might make a good name? (for example.. for a spring baby, Willow would remind me of the pussywillows we pick in the spring).

Sage, Lily, and Ivy are my faves mentioned above...love them!

If we had a girl, it was a toss up between Lily and Cora with Harmony as the middle name. Do you like Harmony?
