Yesterday and today, I've noticed a discharge like EWCM, but denser and white/yellowish. Is this my mucus plug? Can you lose it in "pieces"? There's no blood in it. I'm 39 weeks, so I really really really want this to be the start of something. Is it?

Sounds like it. It can either come out in big chunks, or it can break down and come out in smaller/smoother pieces or strings.

I'd say it's your plug starting to come out. Mine has been for weeks, so it doesn't indicate anything in my case, but everybody's different. :) It's still nice to see progress of some sort.

Omg... we have blood. Just a small clot, but definitely there. And a lot more plug. Progress!  yikes.gif

This just started for me yesterday. No blood, but discharge. It's a shame my underwear no longer fit....
