12/18, 11:07pm, 8lb5oz, 18", absolutely perfect. :-)

We went in at 9pm on Friday and went on to demonstrate why induction is a bad idea (unless medically necessary).  Got cervidil at 10pm, began decent contractions around 1am, eventually got some pitocin at some point, worked pretty hard all the way to 10pm the NEXT night, only to find myself at 4cm.

A little after 10, my water broke, and I went from 4cm to holding baby by 11:07.

So I got the agonizingly long labor as well as the agonizingly quick labor!

Delivery itself was great.  My mw mostly stood there and observed, reminding me to slow down a bit.  3 or 4 contractions and he popped out screaming.  No tearing at all, woo hoo!

Baz was immediately rooting around and hasn't really stopped since, lol.  I panicked a bit when I first grabbed him.  He looked so dang tiny.  He shocked everyone - even the nurses who weigh babies every single day - by coming in at 8lb5oz.  He looks like he could barely pass for 7!  He left the hospital at 8lb1oz, which made me very happy.  The rest of my kids dropped a lot of weight very fast and I really don't feel like dealing with ped. nagging this time around!

Last night was our first night home.  I'm so glad to be back in my own bed.  Dh is picking the kids up from Grandma's today.  I'm worried about the 3yo, who refused to go anywhere near the baby when they came to visit in the hospital.  It's going to be an interesting ride!

Congrats to all of the other new deliveries!  I'm hoping to catch up soon, but I really stink at the whole NAK deal, lol.

Congratulations! I'm glad you had a midwife who was willing to wait it out and be patient. Sounds like you did awesome! Well done.

Enjoy your babymoon.
