I Belive that the heartbeat us us all seen or heard in the 7-8 week range, with some lucky ones coming earlier. My RE does not do the u/s visit till I am 8w I think because it is more a sure thing then and ladies get stressed out if they can't hear it on a visit.
So I figured this DDC had a bit of time to so before we started get these reports, but some early ones are coming in!!! I hope that marking this milestone on this master thread will be nice for folks, not a pressure?

Girlonbridge, thanks, working on great threads is such I joy for me, makes me really good to think I'm being helpful to your lovely babies!

BAby number 3!
With with best friend of 13yrs and husband of 5yrs
Not actively trying but doing nothing to avoid either
Other than nursing number two
I have Sam - my 3yr old boy and Kate-my 1yr old girl.
PLanning on a homebirth as this will be the first time we live in a state where its "legal"
Don't care either way....boy or girl is fine with us as long as baby's healthy since we've already conquered cancer and bacterial menengitis with the first two lol

Hi ladies! Sorry I'm kind of late introducing myself

EDD: January 22? January 23? January 25? January 26? These are all answers I got from due date calculators (haven't been to a prenatal appointment yet, I just started week 6). I got these different answers depending on what calculator I used and whether I put the date of my LMP or date of ovulation. I ovulated on day 12, so I don't fit into the 'perfect' cycle.

Your Name: You can just call my Fyvel

Age: 30

State or Country: FL

How long it took to you to get your BFP: 2 months. The first month we messed up and didn't get the timing right (I was charting and my ovulation temp rise surprised me by being earlier than expected and by then it was too late). The second month I got ovulation test kits and I guess you could say they worked pretty well because it took!

What number child is this for you: Number 1

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): Hubby, 3 cats and a dog

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): No idea. I'm hoping for a boy but will be happy with a healthy baby of any gender

Birth Plans/Preferences: As natural as possible. We're looking at birth centers and hoping one will take me despite my health issues

EDD: FF gave me 12/31/10, but the dating u/s says 1/1/11 so I'll go with that!

Name: Lacy

Age: 35

Location: Sacramento, California

How long it took: 4 months of charting, down from 10 months with DS

What number child: 2

Family: DH Chris (35), DS Jakob (turned 2 on 4/17) and pets - 2 cats and 1 parrot

Gender preferences/inklings: Slight boy preference, but too early for inklings. I still have a niggling fear of having a girl since I had/have such an awful relationship with my mom, but I also know it could be really different and wonderful.

Birth plans/preferences: Still up for debate between a VBAC and a repeat-C. I had a hugely traumatic first birth experience, PROM followed by four days of labor, followed by an emergency C, which resulted in an inadequately treated infection entering the bloodstream, traveling, and becoming five new infections. I almost died from a collapsed lung and pneumonia. I have PTSD from the experience, and will most likely schedule a repeat C to maximize my control over the situation, and to avoid a repeat of the labor with eventual repeat-C, which is common with VBACs.

The extended second hospitalization interfered with establishing breastfeeding, but I persevered, and am still nursing my 25 month old son.

Lacy 35 and Chris 35, DS Jakob 2, and EDD 1/1/11

i would always go of your Ovulation date as long as it was determined by good charting or a trigger shot. what date was day 12 for you?
