welcome StormGirl, what a fitting name for PDX! just a note that we cant list your website since it is a commercial site and you do not have a advertising membership to MDC. sorry, your stuff looks beautiful BTW!

partners.gif 2twins.gif  So what if I don't fit cleanly into a defined parenting style, my kids don't fit into a personality archetype either!

Hello, all! I just had to let everyone know that yesterday at 6w1d, I got to see and hear my baby for the first time. I was so surprised that I got to hear the heartbeat. The baby is where it is supposed to be, measuring perfectly for 6w1d and its little heart is beating a whopping 120bpm. I'm in love! It was truly the most awesome experience ever!

So thankful for my DH and beautiful DD (21 months TTC, now 4 months old)  TTC #2 while BF
I am one lucky lady!

ADD ME PLEASE!

Hi all! Have been lurking for a bit but thought I should add my name to the list now that I have responded to a post!

* EDD: Around 14 Jan but DS arrived at 41+5 and just going to be telling people 'late Jan' so that I don't get all the annoying "have you had baby?" phone calls etc the minute I reach my EDD!!
* Your Name: Lindsay
* Age: 32
* State or Country: Scotland, UK
* How long it took to you to get your BFP: First month trying!
* What number child is this for you: 2
* Family: DH Grant, DS Ally, 1 dog, 2 cats, 1 rabbit, 1 guinea pig!
* Baby's Gender: Would secretly really like another boy, but had a sudden feeling early on this one would be a girl and obviously just want a healthy baby of either kind!
* Birth Plans/Preferences: Will be trying for a HWB again this time after a late transfer with DS, due to MW panicking a bit!

Looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing this journey with you!

ADD ME

I am a little scared to post since it is so early but I guess I will try to have some faith and go for it:

EDD: January 28 (my birthday is January 29!!)

Your Name: Jamie

Age: 34

State or Country: NC

How long it took to you to get your BFP: 4 years!!!

What number child is this for you: 1st

Family (partner, other children, and/or furbabies): DH Jeff and two DKitties Emma and Flynn

Baby's Gender (hopes or guesses): None

Birth Plans/Preferences: Homebirth with Hypnobabies

Blog, website or the like:

Anything else you'd like to share: I have been a birth and postpartum doula for 4.5 years and attended about 50 births. I am also a Hypnobabies instructor. I didn’t know we would have trouble conceiving when I started my career in the birth field so the last 4 years have been…interesting. It took us 5 IVF cycles to get pregnant. My mom was an avid Mothering reader so even though I am just now pg with my 1st, I’ve been on Mothering.com for years. But now, I’m no longer an honorary member…I can FINALLY, OFFICIALLY be here! Just hoping this baby sticks!

Jamie, DW to Jeff, birth and postpartum doula and Hypnobabies instructor.
4 years and 5 IVF cycles in the making, Elliott was born at home in water on 2/2/11.

wow mommy! i think you may get the award for the longest time actively TTCing in this DDC! we were first going to try over 3 years go, but life and the army and the war kept getting in out way, we didn't even get a go at it till nearly year later and then it still took us 2.5 more years!

Adorkable - I remember you from the Infertility forums!!!!

Yeah, we started TTC with my July cycle in 2006 (I ovulated around Aug 1st), so since it's the end of May, I am 2 months shy of 4 years TTC.

Jamie, DW to Jeff, birth and postpartum doula and Hypnobabies instructor.

aprilmom - I don't know if I remember you from the infertility forums - maybe we weren't on there at the same time? But we tried for 4 years and I know how you feel about being in shock. We got our positive beta on Monday and I still can't believe it. I just assumed we'd keep trying IVF to be able to say we tried everything but after 4 failed cycles, I didn't think it would work on the 5th one.

Glad we are all here!
