Amazon has the fishy pool for $19.99 eligible for super saver shipping. I used the Sevylor 60" with my youngest daughter and paid $40 plus shipping. I'm def gonna grab one of these fishy pools!

I still have mine (we use the larger version) and I love it. For normail circumstances i think this smaller size is perfect.

Thanks! Totally getting this now. We had this pool for our first homebirth, and I really liked it, but we threw it away because of the ... um ... floaties. DH didn't want to deal with sanitizing it, and I was afraid of not being able to get it clean for the next newborn.

What do you mean for normal circumstances?

About how far does the water come up if you are sitting in this tub? Anyone know?

It is 2 feet tall. If I had been sitting on my rear, it would have been over my breasts. I used it on hands and knees for the actual birth, and it covered most of the way up my back.

my dh is disabled (has psoriatic arthritis and muscular dystrophy). The first birth he dutifully sat on the side on a stool and was in so much pain by the end he could hardly move.
the second time my midwife suggested the larger tub for us so that dh could get in w/ me. Worked great cuz the warm water relaxed his muscles (and him) and put him in the perfect position to catch when the baby came out. It also has room for a kid or two to hop in as well w/out me feeling to crammed (I am used to a lot of comotion and labor tends to stop for me if things get too quiet).
So for us it worked really great but....If you don't need the extra space then the small one is hte way to go bcs it does take a LOT longer to fill up and a LOT of pots of boiling water to get and keep at the right temp but for us well worth it.
