I have 2 of each now so it will be fun to take bets on what side will "win."
Mom to (12), (7), (5), (4), (born 7/8/11), , and
nicole , mom to 3 boys here on earth 9, 7 and 4.5 and 2 girl's 2.5 and 10/16/11. Always remembering my babies in heaven: Sam (9/7/05) at 12.5 wks , Morgan (2/13/06) at 6 wks , Emeric (8/9/10 at 17 wks) and Pepper (11/26/10) at 8wks.

We "found out" with our first - but it was wrong! We planned for a girl - called her by name for 4 months - and then got a boy.
That was my 3rd routine ultrasound, since I had one to confirm the pregnancy at my OB, then another to confirm the pregnancy when I moved and established care with a midwife. It wasn't until after the 3rd one that I started doubting the wisdom of routine ultrasounds. I haven't decided for sure, but I will probably decline them this time.
BUT, if I do end up needing an ultrasound for some particular indication, I'm not opposed to hearing the tech's prediction of the sex.
Married to C August 2007. Son Ian born October 2008. Son Owen born December 2010. Daughter Naomi born October 2012.
But like I said, this is my first. I could just be insane.
The younger three have all been surprises. I didn't have any strong feelings about any of their gender, which was odd after having been so sure about #1. This one will be a surprise, too ... I prefer it that way.
I found out with my first. I, too, always thought I was too impatient to wait. However, once we made the decision to wait with the next baby, it was totally thrilling. I much prefer waiting for the surprise. It's such fun moment!
