I can't wait!!! We are picking up my step daughters, going to Northern Michigan for "The Greatest 4th in the North" spending all saturday at the beach at an inland lake and seeing a cool small town parade. Then to Church on Sunday and Lake Michigan HERE WE COME Cook out on the beach and not sure if we are going to the CRAZY tourist town for fireworks. Oh yeah and we will be seeing my family.

I don't know - my brother wanted to order steamed crabs (we are in MD) but the pricing will be crazy, especially since no one gets crabs from MD anymore and they are all from Alabama now. So that might be out.

Otherwise I don't know what is planned. I have my 12 week midwife appt on the 2nd, so that will be a nice thing to start off the weekend.

I'm Canadian.

Tomorrow maybe we'll look for a free pancake breakfast, and there's a yarn sale downtown that must be explored. Otherwise, just enjoying the mister's first day of summer vacation!

BIL and Cousin are coming to visit for the weekend...

I'm also deep cleaning the kitchen. I've been reminding DH for DAYS that he agreed to help so he can't say "I forgot" when I ask. I think DS put some of the tupperware lids under the stove and fridge so we're pulling all of that out to clean underneath!

I'm flying to Houston on Friday, so I suspect that by Sunday I'll be crying like a baby from the heat.

I'm not a fan of the 4th of July. Bad things always happen to me on/around the 4th of July.

We are going to be hitting to road sometime tomorrow for N. Idaho & Eastern WA. The weekend of the 4th we will be up at the lake at my parents cabin in N. Idaho for my grandparent's 60th wedding anniversary, we will go to the beach to watch the fire works. The weekend after that is my family reunion and DH's friends' wedding. We will spend the weekdays in Eastern WA visiting friends.

Heather: Mama to my amazing boys A-14.5, C-13, & M-5.5, and my sweet girl S-2.5 and introducing our little surprise Liam Michael, born 12/28!

Going to my dad's church in the afternoon for Taste of Nations. My dad is in charge of soul food. Which means chicken and ribs. Of course there will be all sorts of stuff there, but even though I don't generally eat pork EVER, I can never resist my dad's ribs.

We're heading to Rome for the day. A good friend who happens to be a fantastic historian is leaving Italy, and so we're going to go up and take advantage of all of his knowledge and explore a new part of Rome that we haven't been to before. (and probably taste test a few gelati along the way!)

It'll be a lazy weekend for us. My parents are taking the kids overnight on Friday so DH and I will go enjoy a nice, quiet, dinner out. And sleep in on Saturday! The kids love spending time with Granny and Grandpa and we are so blessed to have them so close by. We will probably go to a friend's house on Saturday for a small get-together and the kids will play hard and tire themselves out.

Church on Sunday and our standard lunch out afterwards--lazy afternoon most likely.

Fireworks are Monday night so we will go to those and DH bought some small ones for us to set off. He did a couple last night and my son was just beyond thrilled with them. Other than that, I don't think we have anything planned.

Lisa, married and mama to 3 kids-ds (7yo), dd (6yo), & ds (2yo)
