Keep me in the "waiting 'til birth" list but ...

At the u/s yesterday, DH and I both think we saw boy parts. DH has probably never seen an ultrasound in his life, so you know it must have been pretty honkin' obvious for him to pick up on it. He's actually the one that brought it up after the appointment, so he was quite sure of what he saw. To me it seemed like a textbook under/between the legs shot with a tiny little baby penis + testicles.

Of course, neither of us really knows what we were looking at. Maybe it was the umbilical cord. We'll still be surprised at the birth, but this sort of maybe knowing is going to drive me nuts.

Bah!

I am not sure the accuracy of that since I never had maternity care on base, but I was told that several times over by several people. I think it was changed some years back, but I know from word of mouth in 2005 at Ft. Carson Colorado they would not tell you the gender and the first time I heard about it was at Ft Hood Texas in the late 90's by no less than three different women... if you wanted to know the gender you drove an hour away to Austin to the radiology college and they would tell you.
I was seen by a military hospital for my last pregnancy and they made me sign a form saying that gender predictions are not 100% accurate, they weren't liable for wrong guesses, etc. and that the purpose of the u/s was to check the baby, not predict gender. I wanted a surprise anyways, but I suppose they wanted to cover their butts.

A supportive military wife and mama to my busy boy and sweet girl.

Wow! I had never heard of that!

We found out about our little *GIRL* yesterday. I'm so excited-- most excited I've been all pregnancy. She was absolutely gorgeous, and the US looked like a baby. *sigh*.

Add us to the boy list as well!! I totally felt girl until about a week and a half ago when this baby started moving nonstop. He is literally all over the place...we could all see it during the ultrasound. DH and DS are both really excited to have another boy in the house and I must admit, I am liking the idea of having a house full of boys!

Lol! It's crazy, huh? You'd think 4 of a kind would be pretty rare. I'm pretty psyched though. I guess I just can't imagine anything else.

Been off the grid for the week, but wanted to let you all know it looks like we are getting one of each! The twins are pretty clearly one girl one boy, we had our anatomy u/s last week.

partners.gif 2twins.gif  So what if I don't fit cleanly into a defined parenting style, my kids don't fit into a personality archetype either!

It's a boy. My dh wants to name him Apollo...it's a little much for me. Oh well, it ends up being that I can call him Paulie (Salvador -we call him Sal- will be 18 months older) and dress him and his brother in little track suits and teach them to say "we're gonna put you in the rivah".

Add me to the "having a girl" list! This little one is so far unamed and we'll likely wait until we have her in our arms to settle on a name.
