Let's see....

- I have the occasional glass of wine. (My midwife said to keep it in moderation. So, I don't have more than a glass a night and no more than 2-3 times a week)

- Raw milk. I can't imagine drinking anything else. (In fact, my DS can't handle pasteurized dairy and we started running low...so we bought the regular kind for me and DH. It was gross)

- I refuse to eat my steaks well done.

- I lift my almost 30lb toddler all the time (isn't the recommendation no more than 20lbs or something?)

- Soft, unpasteurized cheeses when I traveled to Europe.

- Sushi (twice)

- I eat my eggs with runny yolks (not sure if that counts)

That's all I can think of right now.

lol.gif Maybe I should have mentioned that ALL of my dairy is raw: cheese and butter included.

Runny eggs "counts" and I've done that too... I might have eaten cookie dough too. If not with this pregnancy than with the last one.

I broke all the rules, I think :P

Occasional wine and beer after the first tri (maybe 1-2 times per week; my midwife trained in Germany so she fully endorses this, lol)

Soft cheese

Unpasteurized dairy

Sushi

Rare meat

Runny eggs/raw eggs (yes, I eat cookie dough!)

The main thing is that I'm super confident that all this food is "clean." We get all of our produce and animal products from local farmers who we personally know, and I trust them a lot more than I trust Purdue or Oscar Meyer or something like that.

-I pick up my 3 year old all the time - she is like 34 pounds now. Although I need to stop now because it's aggravating certain problems

-I can't remember the last time I took a prenatal. I take cal/mag/vit D, probiotics and iron. I have trouble remembering the 4 prenatal pills I need to take. And I haven't started the DHA yet either.

-Lunch meat without heating it up first.

-I probably eat more tuna than I should.

I can't think of anything else, but I am sure I'll think of it later.

I try to be good but....

I don't eat my steak well done.

I've eaten cookie dough

I haven't taken a vitamin in at least a month

I eat deli meat

I have the occasional caffeinated beverage

I lift my toddler  (but never my preschooler) even though I am supposed to be especially careful because I'm a PTL risk. He's just under 23lbs though, so I am not too worried.

...That's all that comes to mind. But seriously... By baby 3 you worry less. lol

It would probably be easier to type which rules I do follow.  Frankly, I don't follow any.  I eat sushi/sashimi quite often.  I have a drink a couple of times a week usually.  I can't stand my prenatals right now.  Brie is delicious....  I don't really like lunch meat but I ate some the other day.  If my kids would ever leave me a can of tuna I'd eat some.  I have a toddler and I moved a month ago so there has been no shortage of lifting.

Honestly, you think about the way people used to just go about their normal business when they were pregnant... or all the work the Amish women still do... It's probably  not that big of a risk for the average healthy woman.

OMG! I am so glad I am not the only rule breaker!

Eating steak well done is disgusting. I have to have it bloody.

I have had lunch meat

It has been a while but a beer every once in a while during the summer is a must. I limited myself to a kids' cup and with only 7 or so weeks to go and the holidays coming up I will be having some wine.

I have done some heavy lifting. Safely of course. But 30 pounds is so light!

I have coffee every day. I know it is more than the 2 servings of caffeine that I am allotted but I figured keeping my coffee over the headaches was a better option.

Sushi

I forgot caffeine was a no no...I do that sometimes.

And Bumblebee makes this tuna flavored with sun dried tomato and basil...I'll sit and eat a whole can (I limit myself to one a week...but yeah)

Oh, goodness...

I drink...although not so much because I want to, but to stop the stupid contractions.  I am planning on having a bit of DP's homemade eggnog with the holidays coming up though.

I eat sushi,

and raw cookie dough,

and rare meat,

and tuna.

I have been lifting both my toddler and my preschooler, both 30 pounds.

I steal DP's Mountain Dew (it has orange juice in it, it can't be all bad, right? orngtongue.gif )

I don't take prenatals (although I do take other supplements for specific things)

I will even admit to having smoked a cigarette a couple of days ago, and not feeling bad about it.  It brought down my (stress induced) crazy-high blood pressure in minutes, when I had tried for hours to relax and get it down without success.

I also drink caffeinated beverages - mostly green tea. Not as bad a coffee, I know. Trust me, if my pregnant self didn't find coffee revolting, I'd be drinking it. I normally drink 3-4 cups a day when not pregnant.

I've eaten Brie, deli meat, cookie dough, cake batter, soft serve, rare meat, buffet food, lots of tuna, cleaned the litter box, lifted heavy items... it's impossible to remember all the rules, I feel like I'm always learning about something new that's "forbidden."

i've had a few deli meat sandwiches, more coffee than i really should, and sushi (granted, it was cooked or vegetarian sushi, but i suspect cross-contamination is a potential issue in restaurants).

I've had sushi rolls with raw salmon as recently as this afternoon.

I have about a half cup of coffee 4-5 times a week - although I did give it up completely in the first trimester so about a 1/4 - 1/2 cup gives me a total buzz now.

Lunch meat all the time. I'm on the go constantly and sometime the only thing standing in between me and a decent meal is Subway wink1.gif And I refuse to heat the turkey. Gross.

I've had runny eggs a few times.

Meat has to be medium.

I own a pet sitting business and have emptied/cleaned more litter boxes than I can count.

I'm VERY much looking forward to some red wine at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If the smell of tuna fish didn't completely repulse me at the moment I'm sure I'd be enjoying it.

Blue cheese is a staple in my diet.

Hmm, as a vegan who doesn't drink any alcohol (it kills my colitis), that doesn't leave a whole lot of rules for me to break :lol

I clean the kitty litter box and I drink coke more often than I like (once or twice a week).  I love chips and french fries and I don't make enough effort to overcome my new food aversion to beans (kind of important on a vegan diet when you can't have much in the way of soy products...).

I do eat raw cookie dough but since I make it without eggs it doesn't really matter! :)

OK - I LOVE THIS THREAD:

Eggs ALWAYS runny,

One glass of wine a week,

Caffeinated coffee every now and then,

Probably too much lifting, bending, etc.

And I, too, will admit to sharing a cigarette with my girlfriend every now and then.

It feels nice to get all that out. Phew!

Love it! The girls at work(we are gyne nurses) are on me all the time about all the rules I break!

I drink iced tea at least three to four times a week, often times a large.

Raw cookie dough-yep!

I have a Panera addiction, so I've been eating a ton of deli meat

I've been using our hot tub

I've been lifting patients, moving beds, and who knows what else. I hate feeling like I can't do anything for myself. I was lifting feed bags for a quite a while as well(for our livestock)

I still lift my two year old, who is about 35 pounds, and he still is nursing( a big no-no according to our OBs)

You guys are listing so many things that I totally forgot were off-limits. Drinking coffee, eating tuna, cleaning the litter box, lifting stuff ...

I could go on a serious rant about the social control of women, but I'll spare you all :P

I always eat rare meat and I didn't even think they were saying no coffee anymore.  I am very proud to say that, although I have moved and swept around it, I have not cleaned the cat box.

hmm... nothing that hasn't been mentioned...

slimy runny eggs - every day!

raw batter

rare meat

unheated lunchmeat

hot dogs a few times

soft imported cheeses

coffee every day... caff-free before pregnancy, that got added back to the list when I got headaches somewhere around week 16-17, but I love coffee            so I'm not complaining!

lifting and reaching, climbing up a ladder

the kitty litter boxes

probably not getting enough sleep either

Coffee daily
Dippy eggs
Medium rare steak (otherwise I don't even bother)
Lunch meat
Lift my 2 y/o (only 23lb tho) and occasionally my 4 y/o (35lb)
End up sleeping on my back, but wake up and roll back in my left side
DH always gets or brews yummy beer. Like microbrews, craft beers. I usually taste some...they're pretty high in alcohol content, and at 33wks, I still only weigh 130. So a third of a beer is quite enough for me. But I CRAVE beer.

Just to get out if it tho, I still avoid the litter box. Not my favorite thing to do, so I'm milking it!

Hmmm... let's see. As I type this I'm sipping a cup of coffee and remembering a nice glass of wine I enjoyed last night.  There's also the massages I've indulged in the entire pregnancy (well before the 20 week mark).  I sleep on my back, eat occasional lunchmeat sandwiches, salads with soft cheeses and "real" ceaser dressing (raw eggs & sardines).

And when I had a bad cold earlier I took medicine containing a decongestant (once), I just needed to get some SLEEP.

I follow the no lifting rule b/c I have diastis recti and it HURTS to pick things up.

I remembered more:

I forgot to add lots and lots of chocolate to my list (yes sugar and caffeine) and probably too much pepsi. The only reason I don't eat something is if it doesn't agree with me - love hot dogs, but they give me terrible heartburn now.

I am also a back sleeper. It's the only way I can sleep when I am pregnant.
